Chapter 297: Learning about other Continents

Having been given a new mission, Xuan Hao decided to go and visit one of the sect's libraries and find a few books about the history of the Ewaria Continent.

Maybe he could even find some information about what existed beyond the Ewaria Continent if he got lucky...

Overall, the history of the world that he was currently in, was one of the things that he had not really focused much on learning and should be the easiest among the three objectives to complete. Given the fact that he had at most learned about the Flying Sword Sect, Heavenly Sky Kingdom and a tiny bit about the Sky Empire.

Even if most of the things he knew about the Sky Empire, was obtained from Shu Yao when she came and talked to him about the Sect Alliance that they were in the process of setting up...

Now that I think about it, when would we be joining the Sect Alliance in the future? How would we even go about it in the first place?

Remembering the Sect Alliance that Shu Yao had talked about, Xuan Hao could not help but ponder to himself as he thought about it.

But in the end decided not to worry too much over it, Shu Yao had after all mentioned that they would only join after their sects had merged together and there was still some time before that happened...

"Elder Xuan, are you perhaps here to visit the library?"

Lost in thought about the Sect Alliance, Xuan Hao soon found himself in front of the library of the Flying Sword Sect that stored different records about historical events and different books that talked about the past of the Ewaria Continent from the perspective of the different powers that existed back then.

"Yes, I think I will be coming here more often to research a few things about the past."

Looking over at the elder standing at the entrance to the library, Xuan Hao answered with a smile on his face as the elder nodded understandingly. After all, it was a given that someone would want to learn more about the past and what kind of epic battles had happened back then.

Xuan Hao did not stay around at the entrance for too long before entering the library. Picking up a few books to read as he sat down beside a small table at the first floor of the library. Excited to progress his new mission and at the same time learn more about the world he was currently living in.

Different from information gained from other places, the historical records and books depicting the past, would always be over the top. Allowing for one's imagination to run wild as near apocalyptic abilities was described in the books.

From someone having the ability to cut an entire continent in half with a single swing of his sword, to someone materializing a giant floating island with nothing more than a single wave of their hand.

Even from Xuan Hao's perspective, all of this sounded like pure fantasy. Especially given the fact that most of the stories like that dated back tens of thousands of years, if not more...

The only stories stood out to Xuan Hao compared to the others, was the history of how the Ewaria Continent came to be.

The stories told about an ancient war that happened over one hundred thousand years ago, that caused what was known as the main continent back then, to split into four smaller continents.

Amongst these four new and smaller continents, was the Ewaria Continent that he was currently on and three other continents.

The three other continents were not named in the book, but from the descriptions of them, Xuan Hao managed to at least get some idea about the people that had inhabited the areas that would split up in the future into their own continents.

One of the continents, was the place where the churches had their main headquarters in the past. Many of the churches of the Ewaria Continent, could even trace their origin back to the churches on that continent.

The second continent was a place that had mostly covered in large forests and tall mountains stretching far into the sky.

Ancient demon beasts had roamed freely through the forests and mountains, as humans were close to non-existent. The books he read, had even mentioned that some ancient powerful demon beasts would be able to take on a human form!

The last among them was by far the largest of the four continents, it was also the place where the powerful Sects, Empires and Demonic Sects from back then was located.

Xuan Hao felt that he gained a deeper understanding of the world after reading about the other three continents beyond the borders of the Ewaria Continent.

But...

"Why is there no mention about the Ewaria Continent outside of its name...?"

Xuan Hao could not understand this, the other three continents very clearly had some powerful forces residing on them before they split off in the ancient war in the past.

The churches and their priests on one continent, The demon beasts, their large forests and mountains on another and finally the powerful sects, empires and demonic sects on the last one...

What power had resided over the Ewaria Continent in the past...? Before the main continent had split up into four continents.

Even though he did not know much about the past, Xuan Hao could very clearly see that the Ewaria Continent had a mix of the other three, churches from one, sects and empires from another and finally the Burning Mountain Range with demon beasts in it from the last one...

"Hah... Looks like I won't be able to find out anything more for now... Maybe the Sky Empire or other empires would have more information on this..."

Sighing to himself as he said this, Xuan Hao put down the book he had just finished about the ancient demon beasts from before the main continent had split up into four.

Standing up from his chair at the library, Xuan Hao managed to see the last few rays of sunlight entering through a nearby window, as the sun slowly disappeared behind the mountains surrounding the Flying Sword Sect.

"Looks like it's already late... Time sure does fly by."

Whoosh~

Leaving behind these few words, Xuan Hao directly disappeared from the library. The books left behind slowly floating up and returning to their rightful place in the different bookshelves of the library.
