Chapter 75: Visiting A Blacksmith
In the closed training room after completing his strength training and practising the moves taught by the princess.
Lucas was now meditating, trying to remember everything he had gone through since he started being trained by Princess.
He had already made it a habit to meditate after finishing his training and replay the events of the day going through over it again and if he finds something interesting, he writes it in his diary along with the mistakes he had made.
Tiring...Tiring.
While Lucas was in deep meditation, his phone suddenly started vibrantly.
Lucas took out the phone and after seeing the message on his phone, Lucas's lips curved upwards.
Lucas remembered his mother's advice in his previous life.
'Son if you made a mistake or you have a tough time going through instead of forgetting it, etch it deep into your heart so that never again you will commit that mistake. If you still forget write it down in a place that will make you remember it and warn you not to commit that type of mistake again.'
Thinking back about this he chuckled. He had learnt one thing in recent days, once you have an enemy you should just crush him before he can bear his fangs.
The reason Lucas remembered the saying today was that he had let a bird fly so long that he had forgotten how immense is the sky.
Lucas was talking about Brock. He taught him a lesson in the sparring lesson so that he will stay put but that annoying bug is still getting on his nerves.
''I will not make my move directly but will just add fire to the fuel. Even after this if you get in my way, I will crush you so badly that you regret meeting someone named Lucas.''Lucas muttered.
Lucas took out a button of his coat after speaking this and stared at it internally. The button was a recording device made by James after he asked him to make a small recording device that can be connected to his phone which he can carry on everywhere.
After racking his brain he came up with the idea of making a recording device in form of the button of coats.
'This device holds my talks with that bastard. With this, I will make an internal conflict and make someone a scapegoat.'Lucas muttered and he put the button back in his coat.
.....
On the next day, Lucas looked for an opportunity to get close to the lackeys of Roman.
The only time he can find them, is near the cafeteria which is the safest place and time to carry out his plan.
But to achieve this plan, he had to go to the third floor of the cafeteria. To take food on the third floor, one has to bleed and fork out quite an amount of money.
Now he had to just stand there and waited for his groups to come.
Taking his lunch, Lucas waited for Roman and his lackeys to made thier way here.
Tapp.Tap.
Finally, the target came followed by a lackey's walking behind him.
"Young Master Roman, have you noticed Brandon is trying to pick on you recently."One the boy was walking behind Roman spoke.
Roman rolled his eyes without speaking anything but he listened carefully as the ones following behind him were discussing the recent events.
Roman knew Brandon wanted to court Linda just like him So it was bound for them to face off each other. But recently Brandon's behaviour had been quite intense.
'Does Linda have already accepted Brandon's proposal and that's why he trying to keep me away or has Linda developed feelings for me which are making Brandon uneasy and unbearable to see Linda with me?' Roman was in deep thoughts.
'Recently things with Linda had been going quite smooth at my end. So maybe Brandon is feeling insecure.'Roman smiled after concluding this fact.
Only if he knew that someone is adding fuel to the fire and the person wanted to shoot his enemy by borrowing his shoulder, Roman would have already coughed a mouth full of blood.
Roman gestured his lackey to bring food for him.
Two of his lackeys went near the workers serving food to select a wide range of food from the buffet.
There was already a small crowd in that place.
While Roman's lackeys were doing thier jobs, Lucas who was monitoring them finally got the opportunity to strike. He blended among the crowd of students taking the dishes and stood behind them and taking out a mini drive wrapped in a foil of paper with his fingers placed it in one of the pockets of Roman's lackeys.
Having done his job, he quickly escaped from the floor leaving the fate to take its course.
He could have directly called from an unknown number and would have given him the recording but that would have many flaws and his chances of getting caught were quite high after all one shouldn't underestimate the network of the noble houses.
Each noble house is allowed to have thier own set of armies and just think about a situation where an army would be on your tails trying to take you down.
After exiting the cafeteria he went out of the Horizon to do an important job today.
...
Lucas was now walking in the outer perimeter of the capital and walking through the old, dusty streets.
The area where he was walking was known as the Outer district. It was a huge city located in the south of the capital which is a place of social outcasts who were far from being rich.
Unlike the main district of the capital which is filled with many magnificent buildings and houses of nobles, the people staying in this place were rather poor and only the poor were the ones who visit here who needed things with low-end cost.
One can even say this place is the black market in the capital where you can even sell or buy the stolen things.
Some of the knights or other members of the noble houses may visit here for the special reserved places in the black market to supply themselves with the items needed to prepare themselves for any war or any dangerous situation.
The potions which cost million can be brought here with half the price but they may or may be as effective as the ones sold fairly.
'It should be here somewhere.'Lucas made his way looking for certain someone who can be said to be the best option for what Lucas was searching for now.
As Lucas walked his way looking around, he noticed the market was quite similar to the market commonly seen in his homeworld with street vendors displaying various items on thier mats with a discounted price tag where people were crowded. The feeling was quite nostalgic for Lucas.
Many street hawkers and peddles were shouting the price of the items asking every person they see to sell the things.
Some of the vendors called Lucas asking him what he was looking for but he simply shook his head and left the streets quickly as the sellers sometimes can be quite annoying though it was quite nostalgic.
Lucas walked into an alleyway with the smartphone in his hand and used his GPS to locate the place though the GPS was not working quite well in this place.
'I have not seen or heard anyone talking about satellites here than just how do smartphones works around here in this world? I have also not seen the map of this world. Is the world round like earth or is something different? I think I should research about it.'Although Lucas had not given any thought about it before but now as he had already adapted to the world around here he started to think more.
" Is this the right place?"Lucas muttered.
After taking quite a few turns left and right, Lucas finally stopped in front of the blacksmith inside an old run-down building.
On the hoarding board, the name, 'Letitia' with a hammer and anvil sign was hung on the top of the house which had been covered in dirt.
'It seems, he hadn't had any customer for a long time"Lucas spoke.
The place was founded by Fredrick by coincidence when he was here for the black-market auction to buy some things.
As Lucas looked at the shop up and down to make sure it was the one he was looking for. After scanning for some time, he was certain that he had arrived at the right place.
Putting down the smartphone in his pocket, he pushed the door open and spoke"Excuse me."
Creakkkk~
The door opened making a creaking sound and looked like it will fall at any moment from now. The interior was quite old and rusty with dust flying in the air.
Waving his head to shake off the dust, he cast his glance at the weapons displayed on the rack which were neat and clean, shining like it was recently made without a stain of dust.
Tang...Tang...Tang...Tang...Tang...Tang...
As Lucas was observing the weapons, he could hear the loud sound of a hammer hitting the metal as the sound reverberated across the whole room.
When the door was opened with a creaking sound.
An old man of around 150cm with a huge beard who was constantly hammering the metal, stopped his tracks as he heard the creaking noise of the door indicating the arrival of a customer.
Placing back the things, he walked off the forge and looked around to see a teenage boy with neat and shinny clothes staring at him.
