Chapter 412: Attribute Spark
"A minor reduction in luck might result in one's death if they weren't careful enough." Compass Carburettor, somewhat nervous with the situation. But, he wasn't helpless, waving his hand as the Claw Wolf took action immediately, sweeping through the ground as it began to gobble the corpses of the cultivators.
There were a lot of cultivators that died in their attempt to obtain the Sparks, and hence, there was a lot of their corpses on the ground.
While the Claw Wolf continued to eat them, Compass Carburettor tried his best to control the Essence Beast's actions, slowing down the rate at which the Sparks it had swallowed began to shatter and spill out their essence.
The thing he was betting upon was the Blood Vitality Grass. Its current power itself was enough to strengthen his body to a certain extent. But, he wished to raise it to its peak. That way, his body would become strong enough to handle his Martial Spirit's forceful growth.
"There's not enough time." He muttered, gazing at the figure of Chenger farther away now. She was clutching her head for some reason, confused.
It was due to his Origin Art of Mental Destruction that destroyed a lot of her memories. Currently, she was experiencing the effect of the blankness caused by the destruction of her memories.
Though, as to how much of her memories were destroyed by his attack, he wasn't sure. He had aimed his attack at a pile of memories that he felt were important enough. So, he wasn't sure how well the Destiny Luck System had guarded them.
But that was what his situation rode on now. After all, once Chenger notices his actions, she would definitely hinder him by trying to kill the Claw Wolf.
Without ingesting the Blood Vitality Grass, his body wouldn't hold on for long enough and would explode due to the excessive build-up of high-quality Origin Essence in intolerable amounts.
The Claw Wolf swallowed a cultivator's body as the Blood Vitality Grass soaked up the abundant blood, Origin Essence, and nutrients, growing in quality. After all, Compass Carburettor made the Claw Wolf consume in excess to its stomaching capacity, causing its digesting functions to enter an overdrive that prompted the Blood Vitality Grass to absorb more.
After all, they were in a symbiotic relationship. And overeating could result in the Claw Wolf's death, so it had to take action. Besides, as there was an option for it to grow, it didn't refuse.
Compass Carburettor slowly influenced the Essence Beast's movements, causing it to fly next to other Essence Beasts. And when they came in range, he connected to their minds, transferring the few memories in their minds to his.
This way, he slowly began to accumulate more and more memories of the Essence Beasts, also beginning to understand more about them.
The situation continued to worsen for him as he felt needles prickling his skin, with a couple of places beginning to ooze out blood.
A lot of cultivators caught sight of his actions. After all, he was pretty high-profile, staying within an Essence Beast's body. If not for his tower's shield being tremendously tough, this wouldn't have been possible.
Even Chenger's tower shield was barely a tenth of his thickness. And this was all thanks to him using three energy blade spheres with Dust Wave. They damage they racked up was significant, surpassing everyone else.
This was what allowed him to remain with its body for long enough, gaining a lot of benefits. Soon, he made the Essence Beast arrive above a small crack in the ground.
This didn't seem like anything special, but based on the Essence Beasts' memories, this was where they were all born. As Origin Essence filled up the tower, the cultivators weren't able to sense any difference.
That's why they hadn't realised this this crack was the source from which Origin Essence was constantly spilling out.
And the moment the Essence Beast stopped here, it began to show signs of growth once again. But, that wasn't his goal as he watched the Claw Wolf arrive above the crack, smiling as it began to instinctively absorb the abundant Origin Essence that was spilling out.
The Blood Vitality Grass hadn't been in a place with such density of Origin Essence as it began to rapidly absorb the excess nutrients, growing rapidly.
It had already completed its growth long ago and was like a hollow husk that only needed to be filled. And now, all conditions were met as it began to grow, causing the reins to come undone as the Blood Vitality Grass revealed itself, having reached maturity now, releasing a fruity scent all of a sudden.
Moreover, it seemed that due to the excess absorption, the Blood Vitality Grass had accumulated more than enough resources, condensing a fruit.
And upon reaching maturity, the Claw Wolf plucked it on his orders, throwing it into the Essence Beast's open mouth.
The Essence Beast began to accumulate its essence into the fruit upon his orders as Compass Carburettor basically understood the gist of things, having obtained the memories of all the Essence Beasts in the place.
Essence Beasts had a bare minimum level of sentience, but it wasn't much. So, it only lived its life based on instincts. And, there existed a fifth Spark that it could produce, right as the rumours said.
Attribute Spark!
And, all that necessary for this to happen was for the Essence Beast to consume an attributed Origin Essence and condense a Spark using that. It was pretty simple, but the process required almost a century.
But, that was too rare as there wasn't any attributed Origin Essence here. Maybe when in a previous round, if a cultivator had dropped a powerful Artifact that oozed out an attributed Origin Essence, then the Essence Beast that had absorbed it would create an Attribute Spark.
It only didn't happen because most of the time, the quantity of attributed Origin Essence wasn't of a sufficient quantity. Moreover, the Essence Beast didn't focus on consuming the attributed Origin Essence. Everything was left to chance.
But with him into the equation, there was no chance. After all, he had a solid grasp of the necessities to create an Attribute Spark, and he planned to do exactly that.
