Chapter 411: Charity Banquet in Capital City

After we finished talking, the elder took down the barrier.

Alesia didn't look happy being left out. She glared at the elder with a gaze that could kill a person before turning to me.

"We're leaving. Your charity event in the Capital City will start soon." The headmistress said, approaching me with quick steps.

"Alright. Just a second." I replied to her before she could use teleportation magic and turned to the elder, "I am counting on you for the request, elder."

"Hahaha, I won't break my promise. Have a long life, oh Paladin. I am counting on you."

I nodded without saying anything and used <Purification> on both the headmistress and me. My clothes were a bit dirty from fighting Cleric yesterday, and I had no time to take a bath. At least I didn't want to smell like sweat when meeting Queen Eve again.

"I am ready, headmistress. Let's go."

Alesia nodded, put her hand on my shoulder, and snapped her fingers. A magic circle appeared under our feet, and we appeared at a church entrance.

It was a familiar sight, with two naked angel statues guarding the large entrance. However, the sight in front of me was that of a Capital City, and the church was actually slightly bigger than that of Academy City.

A man wearing a white priest robe and white hat walked toward us from the distance. He was holding the holy book and had a smile on his face.

When he stopped a bit away from me, he put his hand on his heart and bowed deeply.

"It's an honor to meet you, Your Holiness. I am the Archbishop of this church; Cameron is my name."

Oh? So he was Cameron. I had never met him before, but he looked a bit like the priest I met in Rose Barony.

"Please raise your head, Archbishop Cameron. Thank you for welcoming me."

Cameron raised his head, and his smile widened, "It's my duty, Your Holiness. Please, we have prepared breakfast inside. I believe you haven't had one. Ah, please join us too, Headmistress Alesia."

"No, thank you." Alesia refused and shook her head, "I need to finish my document in the Academy. So I shall excuse myself first."

"What a shame." Cameron sighed in disappointment. "Please have a safe return. May the Goddess bless you."

"Thank you," Alesia answered and teleported away.

I doubted what she had said earlier. Busy with documents? She mentioned that she finished the documents with Emilia two days ago when Milea suddenly burst in.

'She just wants to avoid trouble and run away.' I guessed in my mind as I listened to Cameron and followed him inside. 'Well, that's just like her.'

As usual, the stares from the nuns and the female church knights stationed in the Capital City were focused on me. I was used to it now and just waved my hand at them to satisfy and make them happy.

The male church knights also saluted when I passed through. They were wearing helmets, so I couldn't see their faces. But I was able to feel the respect they exuded to me from their movement.

A smile crept onto my face as we reached the dining room. It was only Archbishop Cameron and me at a long table. I proposed that we just sit across each other on a side instead of sitting at the ends of the tables.

It would be hard to hear his explanation. I didn't want to heighten my senses just to hear him talking from a few meters away when we could sit just a meter away from each other.

At first, he refused and was adamant about sitting away from me because he thought it would be impolite to get too close. So, as usual, I ordered him before he was willing to sit across from me.

The nuns brought our breakfast: simple soft bread, creamy soup, and some fried eggs. It was a light breakfast with nothing oily but still filling the stomach.

As we ate, Archbishop Cameron explained today's schedule and told me that they hadn't found a cursed person among people in the Capital City, so I didn't need to heal them personally and just wanted me to do a bit of show in the evening if possible.

Queen Eve would join us before the banquet and give a little speech to start it. That meant my schedule from morning until the evening would be just showing myself occasionally and greeting the citizens.

"I have heard from Queen Eve that she will also officially use this chance to announce her coronation in 3 days. She wanted to push it as fast as possible after hearing from us regarding the curse incident." Archbishop Cameron explained with a serious tone.

He wiped his mouth with a tablecloth and smiled.

"Congratulations, Your Holiness. And thank you very much for helping the church."

"I don't know what you're talking about." I smiled at him and cleaned my mouth silently. "I think you mean we should congratulate Queen Eve for her coronation."

"Oops. Hahaha, that's right. I am truly sorry. When I hit 40 years old, my memories are failing me slightly."

This Archbishop was unlike Sana in behavior, but he was still as sly as her.

'Does all the Archbishops in Castitas Church like this?' I smiled wryly as I saw him leave to do his job.

I was all alone now, sitting at the end of the staircase while watching people gathering around the church. The Royal Castle was located on the right, standing high as usual.

The tower where she usually was could be seen from where I sat.

On the balcony, Queen Eve could be seen drinking tea leisurely with Beatrice. They seemed to talk about something, and the primordial Succubus had noticed me looking at her.

After saying something to the Queen, she turned around and spread her wings, and her body looked distorted for a second. The Queen didn't seem to be able to see Beatrice anymore as she activated her <Illusion Magic>.

She jumped off the balcony and flew toward me at a fast speed. Due to the short distance between the tower and the church, she arrived in just a few seconds.

"Master!!" The primordial Succubus shouted as she flapped her wings, landing before me and looking at me with a horny gaze. "It's been a few days, Master! I have something to report."

"And what is that?" I asked casually, not looking at her.

"Hmm, yes. I have managed to convert all Nobles to pledge their loyalty to Queen Eve! This kingdom is as good as yours." She reported excitedly, and a big grin crept onto her face.

I also grinned.

"Good job, Beatrice."

"Yes!" She squealed in happiness. "Umm, so... M-May I ask for a reward? I-It's been since the party I worked without rest, Master..."

"Sure." I nodded and stood up. I had shown my face enough. "Follow me."

As I said that, her face lit up with a mix of happiness and arousal.

"Yes~"

She rose from her kneeling position and followed me inside the church.

Finding an empty room was easy, with many nuns and the church knights inside. But that probably wouldn't satisfy this primordial Succubus.

So when we got into the room, I told her I couldn't reward her immediately and took out some clothes instead.

"Strip your clothes and change into this."
