Chapter 3926: Rescue II
"Help, help, help..."
We screamed, as it was all we could do. Our energy is frozen, and so are our bodies.
The only thing that we are capable of is moving our lips. That is what we are doing, calling for help. No matter how humiliating it feels.
"Captain, can you really not call for help?" asked Cat Beastman, to Captain Hina.
"No. Our energy is sealed. We can not use any artifact, including our badges," she replied and glared angrily at her teammates, who had started screaming for help again.
We had been doing that for over ten minutes, but till now, no help had come.
It is our fault, anyway, this region had quite a lot of people, but we had asked them to leave.
Those had remained would have run away, sensing the energies of the battle. It would be a while before we will be able to get rescued.
"I really hope no monster comes or they would be in for a tasty treat," joked Dwera, but a moment later, shut up, feeling the captain's glare.
It is humiliating, especially for the captain and those five.
Though Dwera's concern is valid.
There are monsters here, while they are not dangerous to us. They will be, in our current state, where our energy and body are frozen, and we are powerless to do anything.
It won't happen. If any monster came close; the binding would disappear.
Until then, we are here.
I am not much worried while here, I am worried about what will happen after we go to the organization.
I had taken an enormous risk with those words. Organization might kill us all to keep the whole thing quiet or they might speed up the whole thing, which is what I want.
It is an enormous risk, but I decided to take it as the opportunity presented itself.
I pushed the worry aside and kept screaming for help, before entering my core.
The battle had allowed me to get even more data. I had also performed a few tests, which I found is pretty incredible.
Now, I want to see the things whatever it is that making these changes even more.
It is something I had never seen, before and it is exciting me.
I am also making my clones to scour through the library with this new data. See if they find anything in there, till now there is nothing.
I didn't love hope.
The library is massive and even after a century of time in here. I wasn't even able to read 1% of the books.
It will take countless millenniums if I want to achieve this feat. It is a target, that seemed more and more unachievable as more floors open.
One day, I will do it and I hope, I will have the time, I need to achieve it.
An hour passed, and we were still screaming for help, while captain and five others seethed in anger. The time didn't make calm it down, instead, it festered it.
Step Step!
It was two and a half hours later, did we finally sensed the steps and saw two stone-skinned people coming toward us.
"Whoa!"
It is the first words that came out of their mouth, when they looked at us, nailed to the ground.
"What happened here?" asked the man, who looked to be in his mid-twenties, but obviously older.
He is a Peak Earth Sovereign, like the woman beside him.
"Stop blabbering questions and help us!" screamed Captain Rahal.
Anger flashed in the couple's eyes, but they calmed it down a moment later.
Seeing the badges on our chests; they might not sense our aura, but our badges tell them that we are Sky Sovereigns.
"How to do that? Those lances are emitting a powerful Sky Sovereign power?" asked the woman.
It stumped the captain for a moment. Calmed him down from the anger he was feeling because of the humiliation.
"First call for rescue, but be brief and vague; don't explain clearly. Just ask them, we need Sky Sovereign," replied the captain after a moment of pause.
It's a good idea.
Those two looked at each other before they took out their badges. A few seconds later, they appeared before the captain and started to whittle the pikes.
"The pikes are resisting our energies. A Sky Sovereign would be needed to whittle them," said the woman while the captain grunted in affirmation.
So, we waited.
It's a little painful, but everyone has experienced far worse than it. Some do it daily during practice.
More than physical pain. It is a humiliation that will leave scars. The mighty Sky Sovereigns were nailed to the ground while Earth Sovereign watched.
There is nothing more humiliating than it.
Hours passed and I worked at my core, but I also remained alert to my surroundings and talked a little with my teammates and Earth Sovereigns.
Step Step Step!
It was nearly four hours later; I saw three people landing in front of us.
"Well, well, I didn't expect to see this," said a human woman with bright red hair.
"I will have to picture of it. So, I could never forget about this moment,"
"Don't you dare, Alda!" shouted Captain Hina, but the woman didn't listen and took a couple of pictures.
She turned to five, but wisely put the crystal away without taking a picture.
"So, what happened here?" she asked as she walked toward us. "It's confidential," replied Captain Hina.
She looked at others, but she got no answer other than silence.
"Fine," she said and stopped beside Captain Hina.
"It's quite strong; it will take some time to whittle it away," she said and released the energy, but the next moment, a surprise flashed on her face.
The pike turned into smoke, shocking everyone.
They do not need to whittle it away; a touch of Sky Sovereign's energy would be more than enough to turn it into the smoke.
She tried Captain Rahal next and like Hina. His pike, too had turned into the smoke.
In the next few seconds, all the pike turned into smoke. The same happened with five; their pikes were real, but as the energy touched them.
The five gained their freedom and removed the pikes on their own
