Chapter 3768: Vira
CLANNNNG CLANNNNG CLANNNNG
The last-minute had remained, and the battle had become even more intense. We both had a single injury to each other and trying to get another one.
We are using every move we have in our arsenal with every bit of the skill we have, but the opponent is strong. It is not easy to injure her. She is countering and dodging every attack, I am throwing at her.
I am doing the same with her attacks.
I have a leg go of pure defensive stance and now it is offensive as well as the defensive. I would mold it to anything in the need of the moment.
Sup!
I dodged another attack by less than a centimeter; it was coming for my neck. If I hadn't been confident of her control, I would have been bathing in a cold sweat right now.
I am confident that she had enough skills to stop the attack the moment it touched the skin. I had seen her control over her abilities, and it was phenomenal. Very few people have such control.
The last ten seconds and my sword had reached near her temple, was just hair breath away from cutting her crystalline bangs.
She dodged the attack in a red-blur and I followed with another, which she defended before launching her.
CLANNNNNG!
Our blades clashed and this time, there was no follow-up attack. Instead, the weapon in our hands disappeared and our auras returned to normal.
"It was a fun battle. I wish you had gone all out," she said, with a hint of regret. "I had gone all out," I replied, and she gave me the look which clearly said, 'Do I look like an idiot?'.
It is quite hard to fool intelligent people like her; they notice things that others don't.
Of course, I didn't use my full power. I held some back, and she did the same. It is not like; I don't want to use it. I did, thousands of times, but full power is only for the enemies, not for the duels.
"I am Vira. I hope, we will meet again," she said with a smile and walked away. A few seconds later, the red dome covering us begins to fade away.
She didn't ask for my name, nor did she need to. She had got all the information. She could form the mark. From there, she could see, that in every battle I had fought; I had never worn a similar skin or used a similar name.
There is no need to ask me. If she feels the need to address me; she could use any of those names, as I am not going to tell her my real name.
I am scared of these people. Not martially, I know enough that even if they were stronger than me.
As long as I am clear in terms of fight, I will be fine.
I am scared because these are the people, who have enough knowledge to recognize forbidden power. They might even have a tool to detect it and that is why, I never use forbidden power actively in their presence.
As for the one, that is merged with me. It is extremely hard to detect, even with the tools.
There is a reason why, those with forbidden power want to merge it with them. As long as it did, it became part of them, and became very hard to detect.
Though most people give it up, before reaching Sovereign. Of those who did not, they died; less than 25% of people with forbidden power survived the Sovereign breakthrough. The survival rate goes down, the further one goes.
It is why, I always looking at the methods that will help me with that and work so hard in gathering the resources.
'She had disappeared,' I thought, seeing her suddenly disappear, three and a half miles away from me. I didn't try harder to find her, nor did I use the forbidden power actively.
Seeing every was good, I resumed my journey again.
Time passed, and soon, the sun began to come out. I stopped for a few minutes and climbed on the tree to watch the sunset.
It is a new habit; I had picked up in the past few days. It made me feel calm. It also made me remember people I love, but I didn't get overwhelmed thinking about them as I do in my abode.
Soon, the sky became bright, and I jumped out of the tree and resumed my journey.
Hours passed, and I had reached the border of the Razaal. I could feel the soul sense of the lord of Sovereigns, now and then, I would feel the soul sense of Earth Sovereign.
They didn't stop me. I would have only stopped if the Sky Sovereign had been here, which is unlikely. Both of the organizations had a limited number of the Sky Sovereigns and they wouldn't use them for patrolling unless there was trouble.
The organizations didn't have the best relations, but they were not at war. There had been a few skirmishes in the past decade, but nothing more than that.
An hour and a half later, I crossed into the Hanjis.
There is a city close by, a small one, and it has a teleportation gate, but using it is risky. Due to its closeness with the Razaal, they keep an eye on every non-member passing through it.
I rather, not go through the scrutiny.
I had finally, gotten out of the Razaal and didn't want to fall into another trouble. I have a long journey in front of me and I want to finish it in peace.
I am improving slowly, and I want to reach the limit through this progress and breakthrough into Earth Sovereign, before getting myself into any trouble.
I have become powerful enough that any trouble I would fall into would be related to the Sky Sovereign. Below that, couldn't be called trouble, unless the trouble is from someone of Vira's power.
That will be hard to deal with.
Even now, I am not completely sure. I could defeat her with my full power. It is a little depressing, but she is powerful.
She is from the realm, after all.
