Chapter 3721: Treasure Shopping?
With danger just right up their side, Evelynn and the others decided to split up in groups.
This way, they could cover more areas and chance upon more treasures.
Evelynn, Rea Tyriel, Founder Rocksunder, and Hirona belonged to the first group.
Isabella, Crystia, Noctis, and Hayley belonged to the second group.
Shirley, Dewzai, Flamerose, Frostrose, and Sierra belong to the third group.
Each group at least had three Immortal Emperors except the first group but Founder Rocksunder was the strongest present, so the groups were evenly balanced as much as possible.
There were thirteen members, and they had enough Crystal Units to access the Sixth Hidden Pagoda from hunting Crystal Beasts and gathering High-Level Immortal Crystal Cores in the past few days.
They already thought about sending eight people down below secretly but they all wanted the treasures in this Mystical Herb Mansion. Plus, if they headed down, Zenova Artoria's group would surely retaliate and kill them or force them to escape using Escape Talismans.
The only thing making things come to a standstill for both sides was the requirement of eight people.
Otherwise, Zenova Artoria's group would've attacked already, even if it were not for her words.
But more than anything, where was the way to the underground?
They didn't know.
Therefore, they fully focused on obtaining treasures and tried to head to the upper floors where treasures could be of higher grade as there seemed to be less treasures just from their eyesight alone although they couldn't understand what type of treasures it was as the barrier above also played with their perception, constantly changing the shape of the treasure.
Unfortunately, they didn't know how to get to the first floor and the second floor either as flying was restricted and climbing up was useless as the same barrier was blocking their way. It became a race to search for a way up but they didn't forget about treasures.
Even then, they were still picky as once the common right was used, they would end up using a chance. They could acquire six times and steal three times if they wanted to enter the Sixth Hidden Pagoda. That seemed to be the limit.
As for acquiring nine times and stealing three times, allowing one to acquire a total of twelve treasures, they needed to give up their right to enter the Sixth Hidden Pagoda.
Surprisingly, a few of them named themselves voluntarily over not wanting to enter the Sixth Hidden Pagoda.
They were none other than Crystia, Noctis and Hayley, Dewzai and Rea Tyriel.
Dewzai and Rea Tyriel were regretful, but since they were injured a lot and lacked backing, they knew better than to win the Sixth Hidden Pagoda even if they could. After all, it was stated that they would be teleported out, but where?
If they were to separate, they'd get destroyed by the Crystal Beasts out there or any random inheritor at the Immortal Emperor Stage. Even if they were to be teleported out together, it was unknown if their own allies would attack them.
After all, the Earth Dragon Clan and Fire Phoenix Clan's inheritors only wanted to help Isabella and Shirley. As for them, it was highly possible they would be killed even if they won somehow, so they gave up and decided to take as many as twelve treasures.
As for the others, they were still on the fence and told the group that they would let them know later.
There was some tension about who was going to participate in the Sixth Hidden Pagoda in the group. After all, if Zenova Artoria's group of four was going to participate no matter what, they couldn't be stopped.
If four joined, then that would only leave them with four more spots.
Considering the strongest of their group in terms of prowess alone, it was better to let Evelynn, Shirley and Isabella handle it but that meant there was only one spot remaining.
Who was going to take that place?
Founder Rocksunder or someone from the Fire Phoenix Clan? There was contention between them.
Founder Rocksunder was stronger than them, so it would be an obvious choice but then again, Hirona and Sierra made the choice to not rely on Shirley and accepted that they would defer to Davis's decision about rewards.
So their hope was to join the Sixth Hidden Pagoda and earn the rewards for themselves.
But would Founder Rocksunder allow them?
There was a bit of friction in the group, so Hirona joined Evelynn's group to discuss about it with Founder Rocksunder but she hadn't started yet, still picking treasures.
Evelynn was browsing as she walked past the treasures.
Her mind was focused on looking for treasures for her sisters since Davis wouldn't need a treasure from this place as his prowess was more ridiculous than theirs. It was doubtful if she could find here a treasure capable of helping him increase his prowess.
After all, he consumed a pill made from Divine Jade Cicada Fruit, drastically improving his chaotic body with the Chaotic Genesis Physique. Even his soul prowess had turned ridiculous ever since the time he dual cultivated with Myria for the first time and brought about intense danger to the entire First Haven World as it tugged on everyone's souls and even began cracking for some reason.
It only left his Essence Gathering Cultivation, which she could match in prowess and even beat him. However, his path through Obliteration Laws was unique, so she didn't think she could find anything worth for him here.
She didn't know if such a treasure existed in the Immortal Emperor Grade anymore.
Hence, the three of them didn't have him in mind when looking for treasures.
"Oh? This looks interesting..."
Evelynn saw a delicate, pale blue blossom that swayed gently even in the absence of a breeze. Its petals carried an otherworldly layer of energy that radiated a soft and soothing chime sound.
She read the description and saw it was a High-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Treasure, a Sacred Wind Bellflower, capable of increasing comprehension of Wind Laws, enhancing agility, and even giving a favorable impression to Wind Spirits.
"This should be useful for Fiora..."
Evelynn smiled.
Ever since Fiora got pregnant, she had gone silent, finally looking soft and feminine rather than clamorous like Mingzhi. She missed her mischievous voice as she gazed at the treasure, deciding not to take it and looking up.
There should be better treasures above. However, she couldn't deny that there might not be a suitable treasure for Fiora above. At the same time, she could also tell that this Sacred Wind Bellflower was better than most of the treasures she had come across.
Then again, she didn't want to waste her six chances out of the nine. She thought for a moment and turned to look at Rea Tyriel.
"Rea, will you help me get this treasure?"
"Hmm? What's this...? Someone has the gall to steal from me and ask for more?"
Rea Tyriel was also browsing nearby. But once she heard the soul transmission, she turned to look as her face blossomed into an overly amused smile. She quickly came closer, staring at Evelynn with a devouring gaze full of wicked intentions.
"..." However, Evelynn's expression didn't change at all.
She kept pointing at the treasure and even tapped twice on it as though indicating that she should get to work, causing Rea Tyriel to giggle before she looked at the treasure.
"Fine, fine. Let's see... you will owe me a lot with this, you know..."
Rea Tyriel smirked and raised her hand, trying to pull the treasure out.
As she did so, two circles appeared, one covering her and the other by her side. The light was glaring enough to attract enough attention, making everyone look in their direction.
Southstar and Raigen came to check, but after reading the treasure description, they left disinterestedly.
It seemed that they didn't fancy this treasure. No one was surprised since they were still at the level of checking all the treasures with their own eyes, considering their soul sense was sealed to a meter.
Rea Tyriel saw that there were only ten seconds left.
With that, the treasure would be hers and she could share it with Evelynn after they leave the mansion.
But she widened her eyes as she saw another person step into the other circle, the circle of contention.
"Y-You... are you crazy?"
Rea Tyriel asked, her eyes gazing at Evelynn.
However, she disappeared in an instant.
