Chapter 334: William's Origin
Chapter 334 William's Origin
Douglet was the only personal guard who had the capability to stay behind and protect Princess Alice.
William followed him all the way.
In the capital city, William saw a small treehouse that was not very tall.
Many rare flowers and plants having distinctly beautiful and unusual shapes, were planted near the treehouse. There were no traces of artificial construction.
Douglet stopped. He beckoned William to enter, while he and Lautner waited outside.
William nodded and walked on the creaking wooden steps. He reached for the wooden door of the treehouse.
The door creaked open.
"You are?"
A slightly tired voice was heard.
William looked at the figure in the bedroom and quickly replied, "Mother, it's me, William."
Quietness ensued in the house for some time.
Before long, an elegant and noble Elven lady walked out, a longing look on her face.
Her Elven features had not changed much, but her dark hair had started turning white.
She was dyeing her graying hair just now.
However, there were too many of them...
Without using magic, it was difficult to dye them completely.
Alice finally met his son, who had left her for three years. She was full of joy as she smiled. "William, you have become a handsome guy."
"Mother!" The latter walked over and gave Alice a gentle hug.
He immediately took out the Fruits of Life and placed them in Alice's palm.
Alice was in disbelief as her son gently said, "Mother, these are for you."
"Fruits of life! Have you been to Fantasy Continent?" Alice's eyes welled up with tears.
William did not respond. He gazed at her firmly and said, "Please take the fruits now, mother."
If the Life Potion could revive the dead, the Fruits of Life were a treasure that could extend one's lifespan.
He was afraid that his mother would hide them, tuck them away, and give them away instead of taking them herself.
So he wanted to watch his mother eat the Fruits of Life.
Alice did not decline his filial piety.
She had no reason to refuse the longevity treasure that her son had painstakingly found.
After she ate the Fruits of Life, the gray hair rapidly turned jet black.
And her breath started changing at a very fast rate.
It was like a commoner who had never undergone training was becoming an Epic Realm Warrior.
More importantly, William felt the endless breath of life, which was stronger than the essence of the Fruits of Life.
He felt he could live forever if he stood beside his mother.
It might be an illusion.
But he felt the breath of life on Alice seemed very strong...
It was much stronger than the Vitality professionals that he had seen in his previous
life.
Alice had not expected this to happen.
Because after she broke the lifespan limit, she noticed that the longevity treasures that she had taken in all these years had not dissipated.
They had stayed inside her. It was just that they hadn't assimilated into her body.
At this instant, the infinite vitality in her body upgraded her lifespan, potential, and strength.
After tens of breaths, a huge shock wave turned the treehouse into ashes.
The shock wave sent Lautner and Douglet flying back a few hundred meters.
With Alice gazing at him, William did not feel any abnormality. Instead, he felt her endless vitality.
And after the shock wave ...
The surging vitality engulfed a radius of tens of thousands of meters.
Any creatures or plants within this radius started greedily absorbing the energy and rapidly grew.
At this moment, some withered flowers, damaged grass, and dwarf saplings, all grew taller, bigger, and more beautiful.
A true Legendary professional had manifested in front of William.
Alice was already close to attaining the Legendary level, but she could not progress because of Life's Blessing.
And in the next few seconds, the sky was filled with other Elves.
Many of them were in surprise or shock!
There were only a few members of the royal family, but their eyes were filled with envy and jealousy.
"There are so many brothers and sisters. Why are you the only one to have awakened the Vitality element that others could not attain?"
"Why are you so fortunate? Why are you always a step faster than the others?"
"You are elegant, kind, generous, and confident. But doing so will make us feel inferior. Do you know that?"
"Although you are a Vitality professional, you are stronger than us in battle. Why?"
"Why didn't the Elven King look directly into our eyes? It was all because of you."
"However, you've made a mistake."
"The Elven King is no longer in favor of you."
"You fell in love with a Human."
"Gosh, you actually fell in love with a Human and bore his child?"
"Why did the Elven King bring Alice back? She was pregnant with a child of the Human lineage. Would it not have been better for her to die outside?"
Nineteen years ago, William was born.
Without the permission of the Elven King, his father was unable to enter Dark Night City that was protected by countless sages and Legendary and Epic professionals.
Even though he attempted many times...
Each time ended in failure.
He could only become a down-and-out lord in a small town on the edge of the Blackleaf Forest, waiting for a chance to meet his wife and his child.
Then things changed.
William's father did not want to wait any longer.
The impatient Human wanted to be a sage so that he could rescue his wife and child with brute force.
He traveled to the Dying Continent to find a silver lining. The continent was a place where a Legendary professional who was dying of old age would go to.
But he did not expect himself to be a legend.
Even if he could not enter the Dark Night City, he was a fearless Legendary warrior.
And he was the key reason why other princes and princesses dared not bully Alice too much.
After he left, the old princes and princesses became bolder.
However, the Elven King did not pay too much attention.
In order to avoid letting William bear discrimination in the city, Alice sent him to a border town.
The despairing Alice gave her last blessing to her son.
That was the inner armor that could revive him.
This was William's story.
William had pretended to lose his memory.
It was the explanation for his Legendary mother.
Then Alice told him something she had not divulged before.
"Mother, what are you going to do now?" William scratched his head, thinking that it would be better for her to go to the City of Dawn. It was meaningless for Alice to stay here.
If Alice went to the City of Dawn, where William was the city lord, she would be the supreme city lord.
Alice would not lack anything.
She could also help to take care of the little Black Dragon when she was bored...
Alice knew William's intention. But she smiled and shook her head. "I'd rather look for your father."
"The Dying Continent?" William's face was dumbfounded. He felt that life was harboring deep malice against him.
But he could not refuse his mother.
"Yes. It's a hostile environment for others, but it's not dangerous for a Vitality professional like me." Alice nodded, and she continued. "Your father didn't die. I know this very well.
"But I can feel he is in danger.
"I'm going to save him."
William was taken aback, but he kept muttering in his heart to let his mother be.
Alice caressed his head and smiled. "Tell me how you have been in the past few years?"
"Oh, good!"
Alice had become a true Legendary professional.
It was witnessed by countless Elves.
Some members of the royal family immediately felt they were in trouble. They became very frightened.
They were worried that Alice would take revenge on them.
But not everyone was as narrow-minded as they were.
William left on the second day.
Alice told everyone that she was going to settle in the City of Dawn, and her previous three thousand personal guards would be following her.
The Elven King did not stop them. He found time to bid his daughter farewell before leaving with a sigh.
William could perceive that the Elven King loved his daughter, Alice.
Because as a father, the Elven King had to be responsible for Alice.
In the second era, in order to counter the Darkness Invasion, the Human and Elven leaders opted for arranged marriages that spawned many Half-Elves.
These Half-Elves also had very strong bloodlines and combat power.
There were heroes among them, but there were also many traitors.
Those Half-Elves, who were regarded by the Elves as relatives, caused great harm to the Elven race.
After the Elves had withdrawn from the large continent, they set rules to prohibit the Elves from marrying Humans. Offenders would be imprisoned forever.
As Alice was the Elven King's daughter, he had to prevent this kind of mistake and stop other Elves marrying the Humans!
But after Alice used the prohibited Life's Blessing, the Elven King realized that he still loved his daughter. He used almost every longevity treasure to prolong her life and vitality.
Unfortunately, everything was too late.
Alice continued to age day after day.
It continued until William brought the Fruits of Life and changed her life.
It was extremely difficult to obtain the Fruits of Life.
The Fantasy Continent was engulfed in the rare war that occurred once in a hundred years.
With William's single-digit luck points, he was directly sent in the middle of the war. But then he had found the Fruits of Life.
If he were to simply venture in the Fantasy Continent, he would never find the Fruits of Life.
An average professional who was embroiled in the war of the Fantasy Continent would not be able to survive.
It was a bloody war that used causal and unconventional weapons.
If it were not for William's powerful abilities, he would not have just died three times.
There was a possibility to have a horrible death that would have caused the Mental Strength to collapse!
No matter what, William had managed to resolve the crisis perfectly.
