Chapter 272

Yelena lifted her heavy eyelids. The bedroom was bright, and the space beside her was empty. "Kaywhin?"

Yelena rubbed her eyes and sat up. The answer came from the window.

"Did you wake up?"

Her husband stood by the window, holding the curtain in his hand. He seemed about to draw the curtain to block the sunlight.

Yelena gazed at her husband intently. He was half-dressed, wearing only pants. His broad shoulders and strong arms, his firm and thick chest muscles, were all intricately visible under the bright light.

"...Don't close the curtain, just come here," Yelena said.

At her words, Kaywhin obediently released the curtain and approached her. His movement towards the bed was cautious, or perhaps slow.

"What time is it now?"

"It's still morning. You can sleep more," Kaywhin said, reaching out to brush Yelena's disheveled silver hair behind her ear.

Was it because of what happened yesterday?

The simple touch felt slightly strange.

"Hmm, hmm."

Feeling a ticklish sensation, Yelena coughed softly and then realized that her throat was more hoarse than usual.

'...Ah.'

Memories of yesterday naturally came to her mind.

'Kaywhin, oh, Kaywhin...!'

When her husband filled her, the pain was not as intense as she had anticipated. There was pain, but it was bearable.

What was harder to endure came afterward.

Her husband moved only after giving Yelena enough time to adapt.

From then on, indescribable sensations washed over her like waves. The waves were shallow at first, then deep, becoming a tsunami.

The tsunami engulfed Yelena. Her mind went blank, unable to think of anything.

All Yelena could do was hang onto her husband's strong shoulders, continuously calling his name until she fell asleep, utterly exhausted.

'So that's why my throat is...'

Yelena absentmindedly touched her throat. Her cheeks flushed slightly. Then, her husband's shoulder suddenly entered her field of vision. Her gaze paused. A scar. The old burn scar on her husband's shoulder was now clearly visible.

Unconsciously, Yelena reached out her hand. Her delicate fingertips touched the scar, and Kaywhin's shoulder tensed up as if in reaction.

Yelena gently stroked the scar and spoke.

"It's regrettable."

"......"

"It would have been nice if I could have erased it with divine power...."

The same was true for the scars etched on his back. Yelena had recently hoped she might be able to remove the scars on her husband's body with her divine power. However, it was impossible.

Divine power only worked on unhealed wounds.

Scars left by past healed injuries couldn't be affected by divine power.

"Does it look ugly?"

'Kaywhin asked, to which Yelena's eyes widened and then she furrowed her brow.

"How could that be? I've never thought that. I didn't mean that I wanted to erase it in that sense...."

"Then it's fine."

Kaywhin grabbed Yelena's hand on his shoulder and pressed his lips to it.

"If it's not unsightly to my wife, that's enough for me."

His lips gently touched her fingers and then pulled away.

"......"

Yelena stared at her husband and then suddenly pulled him towards her. The moment Kaywhin was led by her slight force, Yelena buried her head in his shoulder.

As her soft lips touched the scar, his large body jerked in surprise.

"What......"

Kaywhin wrapped his arms around Yelena's shoulders to pull her away. Even so, there was hardly any strength in his grip. Thanks to this, Yelena easily brushed away the hand around her shoulder.

"Stay still."

"My lady."

"You did something similar to me yesterday."

"Kaywhin left numerous marks on Yelena's shoulders and nape last night.

"But-"

"Don't move."

Yelena warned as she brought her lips back to Kaywhin's shoulder.

'...How did my husband do it?'

She couldn't remember exactly.

It had been such a hectic night, and besides, Yelena was under the influence of alcohol.

'Ah, right. I drank wine yesterday.'

She suddenly remembered the forgotten fact.

'Then, it was done while intoxicated. If done sober, the feeling might be different....'

Yelena tensed the inside of her thigh. Suddenly, her lower abdomen tingled, and a prickling sensation spread throughout her body.

Yelena curled her toes in an eager mood and gritted her teeth on her husband's shoulder.

She licked the scar with her tongue and then gently bit and sucked on the bitten spot.

She felt her husband tensing up considerably. His jaw muscles tightened as if he was pressing down on something.

"Yelena, stop now...."

At the moment Kaywhin spat out the words in a strained voice, Yelena raised her head and pushed his chest. His body fell weakly backward.

As soon as Kaywhin's back hit the bed, Yelena climbed on top of him. The moment her soft body pressed down on his heated desire, his veined hands gripped Yelena's pelvis tightly.

His blue eyes, shaken and confused, gazed at Yelena atop him. His gaze made her heart race, and once again, something deep inside Yelena was stirred.

She placed her fingers on his bare chest and spoke.

"You know, I don't remember what happened yesterday."

It was a lie. Though there were blurry parts, overall, it was an unforgettable night. But the truth didn't matter. It was just an excuse, after all.

"How can I remember it again...."

"...Yelena, I."

Kaywhin's breathing quickened. His muscles tensed to their limit.

"I'd prefer if my wife didn't overexert herself."

Kaywhin's patience had been stretched thin from the moment Yelena woke up until now.

Her dazzling naked body was too stimulating to be beheld in the bright bedroom. Just that was enough to make resisting the overwhelming desire difficult.

Kaywhin barely managed to maintain his sanity. His wife's body was much thinner, smaller, and weaker than his. Yet, just a few hours ago, she had accommodated his desires. To burden her again with the same -

"Really?"

However, Yelena did not help Kaywhin to maintain his rational thinking.

What should I do?"

Yelena leaned forward. Her soft bare skin pressed against Kaywhin's firm chest, and her bright silver hair gently fell. Her sweet body fragrance became overpowering.

"I want to push myself."

"......"

"Make me remember what happened yesterday, will you?"

Kaywhin's self-control, which had been precariously maintained, eventually crumbled like a sandcastle.

"Ah!"

His hands, more impatient than the previous night, grabbed Yelena and laid her down on the bed in one swift movement.

"Yes......"

His lips eagerly sought hers. Yelena tilted her head back, feeling his lips moving down her body. The bedroom air heated up again.

***

Generally, the second time is easier than the first, the third easier than the second, and so on. A fire once lit does not easily die out. Outside, it grew dark and then light again, and during that time, Yelena had not stepped a foot outside the bedroom.

Thanks to Mary slipping some snacks into the bedroom, she was able to avoid starving.

"Uhm..."

Yelena stirred and opened her eyes.

"Have you woken up?"

Her husband, who had woken up earlier, was sitting up against the bed's headboard, watching her.

"...Yes."

A voice so hoarse it was hard to tell whose it was, came out. Yelena belatedly felt a bit embarrassed.

Spending two whole days in the bedroom was a bit much. But still, it was time well spent without any regrets...

Yelena, immersed in a languid mood, thought this and was about to rub her eyes when she suddenly paused.

...Wait a minute.

'Just now, something...'

Yelena sat up abruptly.

The bed shook, and the bedsheet that had been covering her body slid down. As soon as she sat up, she reached out towards Kaywhin's face.

"Yelena?"

Kaywhin, startled by her sudden action, detached himself from where he was leaning against the bed's headboard.

Yelena removed her hand from her husband's face, which she had been feeling all over.

"...It's gone."

"What?" Even when she rubbed her eyes, what she saw remained the same. Under the disheveled, good-quality black hair. Half-exposed, his white and smooth forehead, sleek nose, and clean cheeks came into view.

Yelena's mouth hung open in astonishment.

"Your face, it doesn't have any blemishes."

Her voice, unable to hide her surprise, echoed in the bright bedroom.

The blemishes on her husband's face had disappeared.
