Chapter 240: A Journey to the Underground World

As she tapped the spot, she leaned in closer to him, her breath brushing against his cheek. Without a word, she gestured for him with her index finger to follow her gaze and look ahead, her eyes sparkling with ecstasy.

Rio followed Eve's finger and saw the faint outline of the barrier. It was the same barrier he had passed through on his first visit to this place. But this time, the barrier was right in front of them, separating them from the dark world outside. His eyes adjusted to the dim light of the underground world, and he was amazed by what he saw.

The walls were covered in bioluminescent plants and fungi, casting an eerie glow on everything around them. The ground was scattered with glowing stones that pulsed with a soft, blue light.

"Let's go, Partner." She pulled him by his hands who were surprisingly gazing outside the barrier.

He didn't resist and let her guide him outside the wonderous forest realm. As they walked, Rio could feel the crunch of small pebbles under his feet, which glowed like tiny stars. The air was thick with the sweet aroma of exotic flowers, and the soft rustling of leaves filled the quiet space.

In the distance, He saw a magnificent waterfall cascading down from an unknown height. The water fell with a thunderous roar, creating a misty haze that shrouded the area. The mist was illuminated by the bioluminescent plants, creating a breathtaking display of colors.

As he took in the breathtaking scenery, Eve gently tugged on his hand and led him towards a path that wound its way through the glowing plants and rocks. The ground beneath their feet was soft and spongy, and he could feel the dampness of the underground soil.

They walked in silence for a few minutes, taking in the beauty of their surroundings. Rio couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and amazement at the world around him. He had never seen anything like it before.

As they followed the path, they came across a small stream that meandered through the rocks. The water was crystal clear and he could see small golden fish darting about beneath the surface.

Eve knelt down by the stream and scooped up a handful of water. "Drink this," she said, holding the water out to him.

Rio hesitated for a moment, unsure if it was safe to drink water from an underground stream, and moreover it was scooped in her hand.

But he didn't think much and bent his knees to take a sip. The water was cool and refreshing, with a sweet taste.

The girl felt her heart fluttering with happiness as the boy drank water from her scooped palm.

She said with a smile, "Your mom and dad also came to this place, and drank this water the same way. However, It was your dad who asked your mom to try it."

"How do you know?" He gazed at her suspiciously.

"I will tell you in the future, but not now. Let's go to the place where the Star Rose Blossom grows." She replied, avoiding answering him.

Rio wanted to know but he was already used to her behavior of not answering his question, and the duo continued on their way.

The path grew steeper and more treacherous, with jagged rocks jutting out of the ground at odd angles. Eve led the way, deftly navigating the rocky terrain.

As they climbed higher, the air grew cooler and the plants began to change. They passed fields of delicate white flowers that glowed like stars in the darkness, and towering trees with bark that sparkled like diamonds.

Finally, after what seemed like hours of walking, they came to a small clearing. In the center of the clearing was a small plant with delicate, star-shaped flowers. It was the Star Rose Blossom.

Rio knelt down beside the plant, marveling at its beauty. The flowers were a deep shade of purple, and each one sparkled in the dim light of the underground world.

"This is it, The Star Rose Blossom," Eve said, a smile accompanying her bright face.

Rio reached out and gently touched one of the flowers. It was soft and velvety to the touch, and he could feel the faintest hint of magic emanating from it.

"Let's get it to your wonderous forest realm first." He said, turning to Eve.

Eve's smiled as she knelt down beside Rio, her eyes sparkling with love. Her slender fingers delicately touched the stem of the Star Rose Blossom, and in an instant, it vanished from its original spot.

He couldn't help but sigh in amazement as he watched Eve work her magic. The way she easily shifted the plant without causing it any harm was both simple and complicated at the same time. It was as if the plant had never even existed in that spot, and Rio couldn't believe his eyes. Eve's expertise in the matter was truly impressive, and he felt grateful to have her by his side.

As he looked up at Eve, he felt a deep sense of gratitude and adoration toward her. Her selfless act of helping him find the perfect gift for his wife left him feeling touched and impressed. He couldn't help but marvel at her unwavering devotion to him.

The realization slowly dawned on the boy that he had discovered a true and loyal partner in her. He couldn't deny the spark of a deeper connection that was forming between them, but he knew that only time and their fate could reveal whether it would flourish into something more.

"What do you need next, Partner?" Eve asked, her jolly smile beaming at Rio. Her eagerness to assist him in any way possible was evident in her tone.
