Chapter 239
Evan D. Sherden, Running. (1)
After most of the urgent business at Pellati, Evan's group enjoyed the luncheon that day and headed to the coast together in the early afternoon.
The unusual absence of the monsters that day made it possible for them to enjoy the beach to the fullest.
"Of course, anything can happen at any moment, so be cautious, and don't let your guard down..."
"Haha, isn't that a risk we are taking by just being outside the city's confines?"
"Of course, you are right, Sir."
It was Melto, the Count of Pellati, who humored at Evan's words.
"I've heard of a man who lived in the heart of a big city because he was scared of monsters. Later on, he died of cardiac arrest because he was too shocked by the sight of an aerial monster's excretion. Being too careful is also dangerous."
"And my father, the casual jester."
The Marquis' family left no chance to lighten up and relax since they had arrived at Pellati—a few days before Evan's group. The same went for Count Melto.
"You look good in your swimsuit."
"Well, it reminds me of my youth when I was at a foreign beach. The first time I met your mother was also at the beach."
The Marquis, wearing a triangular panty swimsuit, said this and posed. The Marquis' body, which did not neglect physical training despite his busy work, was indeed excellent.
Evan was worried that his body wouldn't develop any further even with all the muscles he had gained from all his training; in comparison, the Marquis had a reliable shoulder that could cover about two people of Evan's size. Evan nodded, saying that he could definitely protect two women at once.
"Our country's old man... Hmmm, old aristocrats will turn pale if they see you like this. I can't believe you're showing off that body in front of others."
"Ha-ha, that's why we came all the way to Pellati. I'd like to forget about my rank and relax for today!"
When Evan opened his eyes, the Marquis burst into laughter, posing for a more professional bodybuilding pose. Of course, Evan himself, who was talking to the Marquis, was wearing a trunk-type swimsuit as well.
He didn't want to take the boots off, but he decided to compromise because of the rose vine ring—the artifact that Rose gifted him, having the ability to protect the user if an unexpected danger approached or an emergency arose.
"Honey."
"We're here."
"Oh!
At that time, the first wife, Redine, and second wife, Miriam, appeared. Evan looked back at both of his mothers with doubt in his eyes.
The Countess of Pellati was dressed in a dress suitable for the beach, but Miriam was dressed in a one-piece swimsuit that clung to her body, and Redine, she was wearing a bikini!
"Uh, Mother...?"
There were so many words that came to mind, but it would probably be no use.
Furthermore, the Marquis' wife, who had been wearing a bikini, couldn't be seen as a mother of two grown-up children. No, it was more than that; she was one of the most beautiful women on this beach...
"Hoo-hoo, don't you think we should enjoy our youth with your dad sometimes? Isn't that right, honey?"
"Of course. Redine is still as young and beautiful as she was when we first met... and Miriam, you are no less, honey. Seeing you today reminds me of the garden of Earl Eldon, where I first met you."
"Oh, really? You're still so fresh with youth. Especially those muscles..."
"Okay, okay, the three of you have a good time."
The Marquis' marital relationships were something any married man would desire! Elizabeth's birth was a result of active participation in the Marquis' part.
Evan quickly pulled Elizabeth away, who held Miriam's hand, towards him, so as not to disturb the three. Elizabeth followed Evan more passionately than her own mother.
"Evan, will I have another younger sibling?"
"You might, so be prepared, Liz. Do you want to catch some slime?"
"Yes!"
Evan, accompanied by Elizabeth, left the Count and the Marquis in their places. He was thinking of joining the other group that had gone to change, but the women approaching him again and again were becoming a nuisance.
"Hi. I've been looking at you for some time. The way you caught my eyes..."
"Oh, what a pretty sister! I have a younger sibling of her age, so why don't you let the kids play together? You can join us."
"Where are you from? I come from a place called Houmi..."
Sherden's jewel was still shining in remote foreign lands. The majority of the women who saw him gave him at least one glance, and the women who had no partners attempted to approach him.
As for the women with partners: they contemplated whether they'd throw their partners away and prey on Evan. Evan felt bad and was even more disgusted with such disloyal women.
"Wait a minute. Do you want to get a drink with me? Huh?"
"Oh, your eyes are as pretty as jewels...!"
"I'm sorry. I have company..."
Evan rejected all the suggestions and recommendations. In fact, he was a bit attracted to the idea of grabbing a drink, but now he was accompanied by his younger sister. He couldn't fall for such temptations! The problem was that some of them were quite persistent.
"Oh, don't turn around like that..."
"It is unacceptable to approach the Master privately."
Just then, Belois appeared, striking hard at the woman's hand, which reached out to Evan's shoulder.
"Ugh!? You're..."
"Get the hint and leave!"
"Yes!"
The woman, who turned away in a fit of anger, ran away with fright when she faced Belois' cold eyes. Evan immediately recalled the sight of a bloody witch in the game and shook his head.
"Sorry for being late, Master."
Belois, who had managed to arrange the situation neatly, approached Evan and bowed her head. He waved his hand.
"No, Lua. We just arrived now."
"Ugh, another bad girl is here to steal my brother again."
Belois was wearing a red bikini and a wraparound skirt on her waist, which went very beautifully with her red eyes and shiny black hair... and she had wonderfully matured beyond the body or face of a 13-year-old. Evan had to try hard not to be distracted by Belois' chest and her narrow waistline wrapped in red cloth.
"Oh, Arisha came with you."
"I should have taken Belois apart somehow...!"
Arisha also showed up behind Belois. Unlike Belois, she was wearing a skirt-type swimsuit that was okay even if she got wet.
Her blue skirt, which matched her blue eyes, made her look slimmer and more innocent.
"Arisha, you're very pretty, too."
"Your nonchalant reaction makes me the most upset, you know?"
"Bad women, they took my brother..."
"Come on, Liz, let's get some slime."
Elizabeth, who was deeply upset by Evan's somewhat mesmerized gaze at Belois and Arisha, joined with the rest of the group.
Paul and Ditto were wearing trunk-type swimsuits like Evan, and they had a youthful charm. Ditto, who belonged to the foreground, was big, while Paul was a typical wizard, so there was a slight difference in physique.
"I'm also working hard on how to train..."
"It's all right, Paul. It's going to be difficult to match someone's natural physique. Focus on your strengths, it's sufficient."
"Are you telling me that it's okay, or just to give up, sir...?"
Was it too much for Paul to convince him of his aptitude? Evan smiled embarrassingly and turned his head away. Eloa, who had appeared with Lin and Lan in cute one-piece swimsuits, was there.
"If anyone saw Eloa in the dungeon city and caught a glimpse of her now, they would be absolutely stunned."
"Huh, my eyes would be enough to chase those perverts away."
Eloa was dressed in a white tank-top bikini that covered the top of her belly button.
She wore a thin sky-blue beach cardigan, which showed the charm of an elegant adult woman. Evan thought she only wore a magic robe every day, but this was surprising.
"I told you I grew up in the port city of Palman. I'm not that sensitive to exposure. We used to give the cold eye to guys who were staring at us."
"Giving sanctions is alright. But I think there's a little problem with what those sanctions are..."
"Huh. Not bad... but she's still smaller than Belois."
"...Arisha, are you going to compare everyone's size?"
On the other hand, some people were still wearing their clothes even though they had all changed into swimsuits. Dain wore his armor, and Diona didn't take off her bunny girl costume at the beach.
"I've been on duty to protect the changing room, as you have commanded, Sir."
"That's not what I ordered. I told you to change into a swimsuit!"
"I'm an escort, so I can't."
"...Then what about Diona?"
"This is my uniform."
Was it Diona's professional consciousness? Evan looked at Diona as if he was looking at a character in the game: whether it be summer, winter, beach, or snow, they only wore the same clothes.
"Evan, let's leave that and play amongst ourselves."
"What about that?"
Then Arisha, jealous of Diona, grabbed Evan. She wanted to get Evan off of an adult woman with a much more tempting proposition than Belois!
Evan gave her a bitter smile and held her hand gently. Arisha became stiff.
"Eh, Evan."
"Let's go, Arisha. I am yours for the taking today."
"Yes, leave everything to me!"
As Arisha guaranteed, their group played in the sea all afternoon.
The race across the sea on an iceboat made by Eloa and Belois was exciting, and the highlight of the race was also a clash of the magicians' skills.
"The winner here gets to stay with Evan on the last night of the festival, Belois!"
"Ha, I accept your offer."
"Wait, what kind of reward is that?"
Evan sat on a small block of ice made by Eloa, watching the game, and widened his eyes when they suddenly began a discussion on him.
But Arisha tried to ignore Evan's gaze and strengthened her ice boat with wind magic, doing her best to win Evan for the festival's last night.
"Hey! Wind magic is unfair. But, I have just the right thing."
However, after Arisha's jack-in-the-box, Belois pulled out her rabbit out of the hat and reached out both her hands to the ice boat's other side, immediately using her magic. A tremendous amount of heat with the left hand and a chilling cold with the right!
It was an astonishing sight. This was extremely advanced magic not many could even reach, and it also embodied the most powerful magic she could handle.
"...What?"
"My God, you've already completed the magic we discussed before...!?"
Evan and Eloa stood stunned at the majestic sight of the two elements clashing to produce a steaming effect.
The result: Belois had turned her iceboat into a lightning-fast jet stream.
"It's a jet engine, isn't it?"
Evan, watching it, cried in dismay. How could she turn a simple iceboat into a human-controlled jet engine!?
This kind of magic wasn't produced from a simple collision of ice and fire. There were many complicated, minute calculations that were carried out to cast this magic; something that was more than the normal eye could grasp.
"But I can't believe she's using such great magic for a mere game."
"What kind of nonsense is this?"
In the aftermath of the terrible turbulence created by Belois, Arisha's humble boat sank. Belois took no time to return to land.
Arisha had lost again to Belois.
"Belois, you, uh...!"
"I'm sorry, Lady Arisha."
Belois declared to Arisha, who was shaking and trembling from the unexpected dive.
"I don't want to give you preference in any situation at any time, even if this is your hometown."
"Whoo, Whoo, Whoo, Whoo...... yeah, yeah. Like I need your permission!"
Arisha's wet hair shot upside down. A wind whirling around her body. Something that began as an innocent iceboat race was about to turn into an ugly battle for Evan's company! Evan tried to turn away from the two.
"...Do you know, if we can harness the magic that Belois just used, the foundation of this country's industry will be revolutionized?"
"I know, but it's probably hard to commercialize. Combining and compressing such advanced magic into a magic wand is no joke."
"I'm sure that's a good thing, after all."
While Evan was talking to Eloa as a form of escape from reality, Elizabeth, wearing his gloves, was busy playing with slime.
Evan decided one day to find a necklace similar to Miraseul's and give it to his sister as a gift.
The next day, Pellati's Dungeon Festival began.
