Chapter 228: Reaching the Peak of the Purple Stage
The person everyone was talking about in the human world was currently traveling through the corrupted land of Asura.
When he returned back, Lia wasn't at the castle so he decided to go to the corrupted land in order to increase his purple stats points.
The ground was barren and lifeless, with twisted trees and poisonous vines winding their way through the desolate landscape. The air was thick with the stench of decay and the sky was shrouded in darkness. The sun had already set, leaving the world in a state of perpetual gloom.
Amidst this harsh and unforgiving environment, a lone figure stood, surrounded by more than twenty vicious beasts which were dozens of meters away from him.
The creature's body was covered in thick, black armor-like plating, resembling that of an armadillo. Its head was small and rounded, with two beady, glowing red eyes that glared menacingly at its prey. Beast's muscular legs were thick and powerful, which could allow them to move with surprising speed despite their bulky frame.
Its sharp claws were as long as daggers, ready to tear apart anything that dared to cross its path. At a towering two meters in size, the beast was an intimidating sight to behold.
With a hover of hand, he summoned his silver bloom king sword, ready to face his opponents head-on. The blade glinted in the dim light, as the beasts growled and bared their teeth in anger, their glowing eyes fixed on their prey.
The boy kept his calm in this situation and prepared to take them all together, his body crackling with blue thunder that illuminated the darkness around him.
The beasts circled around him, before lunging at him one after another, their claws sharp and deadly, but the blue figure moved with lightning-fast reflexes, his sword slicing through the air and buzzing with thunder.
With each slash, a beast fell, its body convulsing in death agony as the figure continued to dance through the night. The sound of metal against flesh resounded through the desolate landscape, a symphony of death and destruction.
In the end, with a final slash, the last beast slept to its death. The figure stood still, his blue thunder fading as the numerous Armadillo-like beasts lay dead at his feet.
He read the messages flashing in front of him that were notifying him about the rewards he gained from killing these beasts.

'These beasts' souls will be of no use to me in the coming days,'
Rio took a deep breath, relaxing after the intense battle with the creatures.
The purple light emanating from the core caught his eye, and he hastily made his way toward it. The boy carefully picked them up one by one from the ground, feeling their energy pulsating in his hand.
He channeled his mana before sending it to the cores he collected, absorbing the purple stats points. He felt the energy coursing through his veins, filling him with enhanced strength and vigor.
As he received the core's stats points, he heard more notifications appearing in front of his vision.

With the last notification, he realized he could no longer receive the purple stats point, confirming he had finally reached a total of forty purple stats points.
He still had a few more cores in his hands that he didn't absorb and kept in his wonderous forest realm for Eve.
To reach the black stage he had to first defeat the monarch beast otherwise he would be stuck on the purple stage.
Rio looked in the western direction from where the new monarch beast call was coming from.
He wanted to go for the monarch beast but it wasn't the right time. The boy had recently come from the national military school tournament and hadn't met the white-haired beauty yet.
The boy couldn't help but think about how much he had missed Lia, knowing she was also longing for him.
It had been a month since they last saw each other, and while they had talked via telepathy, it wasn't enough to quell the yearning he felt for her touch and have her in his embrace.
The thought of Lia waiting for him filled him with a sense of warmth and happiness that he hadn't felt in a long time. He missed her, and the anticipation of finally being able to hold her in his arms again made him feel peaceful.
'I will come back for you later. I need to meet Wifey first.'
He had made a decision to put his search for the monarch beast on hold for the time being, his desire to see Lia outweighing his need to defeat the monarch beast.
He didn't know how long this monarch beast would take so he wanted to see her at least one time before going for another dangerous adventure.
The moon was full and bright, spreading a silver radiance over the desolate landscape around him.
Rio closed his eyes and took a deep breath, feeling the cool night air fill his lungs. He stood there for a moment, enjoying the stillness of the night.
With a relaxing sigh, he cast the [Astral Recall] spell, and the world around him began to fade away as his figure vanished.
