Chapter 177: Master of the Exalted Clover Ring

Saintess opened her eyes as her voice echoed throughout the ancient tomb, "Boy, I declare you as the Master of this treasure that can only be equipped by someone who doesn't let greed take over their heart. You have proven yourselves to be a worthy heir to the Exalted Clover Ring. You will be able to share this treasure with people who you cherish that includes these two adorable little girls right beside you. May your bond never falter, and may you use its power wisely."

As she spoke, her hands that were glowing with soft white light moved towards the ring on the altar that also started to illuminate as it rose into the air, hovering for a moment before moving in the direction of Rio.

The boy stood still, his eyes had a hint of surprise as the ring slowly approached him. When it finally reached him, the ring landed on his palm and the coldness of the treasure could be felt against his skin.

The girls gasped in amazement as they saw Rio's hand begin to glow with the same soft white light as the Saintess'. It was clear that the exalted clover ring had chosen him as the master, and that he was now the rightful heir even though he would be able to share it with both of them.

The Saintess' voice filled the tomb once more, bringing a sense of peace and serenity to the trio, "I thank heaven for letting me witness three of you who didn't argue with each other and were ready to give up their right to this tempting treasure for one another.

Thank you, children. I shall always remember this moment and I wish that you three continue to show kindness and selflessness for one another. May the goddess of light be with you."

Her peaceful voice caused the trio to feel goosebumps as she was flowing with a holy aura.

As Saintess spoke, a bright light began to fill the room, growing in intensity until it enveloped the trio completely. The brilliance blinded their vision, unable to see anything but the brightness of the light And then, as suddenly as it had appeared, the light faded away.

When the trio opened their eyes, they found themselves inside the oval-shaped building as a white-haired beauty was asleep in the audience seat.

Rio and company looked at each other, as their eyes were filled with surprise from what had just happened. They had been part of something truly magical, and they were never going to forget this journey to the Saintess' tomb and her sorrowful story of pure love and betrayal.

The ring was in the boy's hand but not on his finger as he had yet to equip it. The girls' felt their hearts relax as they both sat on the ground, remembering all the events that had happened in the Fiery Southern Desert.

Rio started moving towards his wife who was laying on two of the chairs as it was nighttime at this place. Lia didn't go back to the Empress villa as she thought the trio would come here first.

The boy was walking with light steps carefully so it was hard for Lia to wake up from hearing the sound of his shoe clicking to the ground. He sat right beside her head as he waited for her to wake up and didn't leave her there.

Rio moved his hands to ruffle her but as soon as his hands touched her head, a smile spread on her fairy-like face. Her eyes fluttered open, looking at the person for whom she was waiting.

However, as soon as she saw his dried face and messy hair her heart ached and she asked hastily, "Is everything okay, Husband?"

Rio could feel her affection flickering in her gentle voice and answered with a feeble smile, "Yeah, wifey. I'm all fine. Just Helia got some injury in the sand storm and was stubborn to withdraw from the trial. But I think the healing tree of this battle arena should've healed her completely by now."

The boy pointed towards the lioness who was sitting with Nyla on the grassy field.

Lia sat up to see her sister and saw two girls sitting in the distance who looked messier than Rio and as if they hadn't taken a bath for two months.

Both of them were covered in sand and dried sweat from their excruciating journey in the desert. Their tangled hair was making them look unkempt and mucky more than Rio as Nyla covered her face with her palm, trying to hide from Lia's gaze.

"Big sis, don't look at me in this condition," Nyla spoke, her lively voice filled with embarrassment.

"Don't worry about it, Nyla," Lia said as she stood up from her chair, she was finding it amusing as both of the girls looked grubby. She could understand how the magenta-haired beauty felt as girls loved to keep themselves in good condition all the time.

The lively girl finally lowered her arm, revealing her disheveled appearance. "Yea, but I still feel embarrassed to face you this way. It's okay for Rio and Sister Helia as they aren't any better than me."

"Okay then Let's talk after we go back to the empress villa and the three of you take a shower before the proper rest," Lia said with a gentle voice, thinking they really needed to take a shower and some rest before telling her about the outcome of their adventure in detail.

She turned around to gaze at Lioness who was quietly on the ground beside Nyla, Lia asked with concern, "Are you okay?"

The blonde-haired beauty nodded and said, "I just need a proper bath and a sound sleep."
