Chapter 1503: Future Plan
While enjoying the beautiful surrounding they enjoyed the dinner as the attendants from the resort arranged everything for them. Lu Lijun looked at Jiang Yuyan who was calm and he was sure something was going on in her mind though she tried not to show it.
"What are you thinking about, Yuyan?" Lu Lijun asked as he put the food in her dish.
Jiang Yuyan who was looking at the sea and starry sky ahead as she chewed the food, looked back at him, with a light smile on her lips. She shook her head, "Nothing. It's just so peaceful here so I was trying to feel every bit of it."
Lu Lijun was not going to buy it. "You can say anything that goes in your mind. I want to be a part of whatever you do or even think," he insisted as he looked into her eyes with a determined gaze.
She pressed her lips in a thin line before opening them to talk, "I had never been out like this on any vacation or date...umm..you know, Lu Qiang and I didn't get much time to spend together. Before the wedding, I was busy studying and after the wedding, we couldn't go out sooner as we thought we can do it later but...." she lowered her gaze as she didn't have the heart to say that there was no 'Later' and before that he left her.
Lu Lijun stayed quiet to let her sort out her thoughts and say it all freely.
She got hold of her wavering emotions. "It's the first time when I am...out on such a date...Lu Qiang and I..." she felt heavy in her chest and didn't get words to say. The more she tried to talk more she felt like she should not bring Lu Qiang between them at least today but her mind would never let her stop thinking about him.
She exhaled through her mouth and looked at him with a light smile, "I am not comparing...just the thought came to my mind...What I had with him was precious as much how everything feels precious with you."
"Hmm, I know your honeymoon was canceled," he finally talked, "At that time, I only knew you were suddenly not well so it was canceled but now I can guess...my brother must have been overly energetic," he said normally like any other joke and as if it didn't affect him.
She cleared her throat awkwardly, as the blush covered her face, "You know, you should not talk about your brother like this. His privacy matters."
"Why not? What I said was the truth. And I know how much he loved you," he added food to her dish again as he commented, "eat more."
Jiang Yuyan stayed quiet as she resumed eating.
She heard him again, "It's good that I brought you on vacation first and let you have fun before we...."
"I understood," she interrupted him and gulped the wine down her throat from her glass.
"Take it slow," Lu Lijun warned her, "I was just saying, I learned from my brother's mistake." He referred to how Lu Qiang and Jiang Yuyan could not go on their honeymoon.
"So shameless you are to talk about your brother's private things."
"It concerns you so it's fine if I know it," he countered.
"I don't want to think about the past today and want to talk about us two only. But seems like the habit of the past ten years of thinking about your brother and trying to find him in everything won't change so soon."
"You don't need to change it," he assured, "keep remembering him so I won't forget him ever, either."
"We both can never forget him."
Lu Lijun nodded and asked, "By the way what do you plan on talking about both of us? Anything in mind?"
"There is nothing as such. Just anything will do," she replied.
"A future plan for us?" he asked.
He had so many plans for both of them in mind but first, he needed to know if she was ready for it. He had said that he would be fine having her with him without giving any name to their relationship but...he could not stop desiring to have her as his wife in a legal way as the wedding in the past doesn't count legally and they were not husband and wife. He wanted to marry her, have kids with her, and have their own small family but what she wanted was important.
Maybe it was not the time to talk about it as he felt like she might feel pressurized.
He heard Jiang Yuyan, "I didn't think about anything yet. We have families and I don't know how they will react...."
"Let's not think about that kind of future yet. Let's just think about what would come just a moment after now."
"Hmm," she agreed.
Both had a nice meal and Jiang Yuyan was still stuck at drinking wine. Lu Lijun stood up as he didn't wish her to drink more. He offered her a hand, "Let's get over there."
She put the wine glass from her hand on the table and accepted his hand as she stood up as well.
"Is the wine that tasty?" Lu Lijun asked as he walked with her toward the end of that platform.
She awkwardly cleared her throat, "I.. just had one glass. I won't get drunk. Don't worry."
He sighed, "When your woman is good at drinking while you can't even touch it."
"You can touch the woman who drinks it," she said which took Lu Lijun by surprise as he didn't expect her to say it.
He stopped and turned to face her only to see her flustered face as if to realize she should not have said it, "I...mean..."
"Just you wait. I will make all of your wild thoughts come true."
She cleared her throat, "Umm, what are we going to do now....?" once again she felt like whatever she asked would sound something off, "A-Are we going on a walk? We just ate so I will prefer it."
Lu Lijun observed her flushed face and smirked playfully, "Let's have a short walk," he held her hand and walked on the wooden pathway attached to the platform which wounded its way somewhere. It had various lamps and flower decorations along the way, making that pathway look beautiful and dreamy as they walked hand in hand.
Jiang Yuyan walked with him, without having anything in mind, simply enjoying the view. Walking for a while, something came into her sight, "What's that?"
"Something you might like,"
