Chapter 1464: You Guys Won't Be Able to Kill Me 5

"Okay."

Qin Chu knew Rick would never call him for no reason, so he and Huo Mian immediately drove to Seductive Fox.

On the top floor of Seductive Fox Nightclub...

Huo Mian suddenly stopped in her tracks.

"What's wrong?" Qin Chu tilted his head at her.

"You should go in yourself, it's inconvenient for Rick to talk to you if I'm there."

Although Huo Mian never asked Qin Chu about Rick, with her smarts and wits she had an idea of what his family did... A young man capable of running the biggest nightclub in the city must have some kind of unspeakable background.

"Let's go in together, I don't want to keep anything from you," Qin Chu said as he held her hand and pushed open Rick's office door.

Huo Mian didn't say anything but she felt a gust of warmth well up in her heart.

When a man trusted a woman and they were in love, he would take her to meet his parents and best buddies. He also wouldn't keep any secrets from her nor ask for personal space. Therefore, those who claimed that people should be entitled to personal space just want time to look for a backup.

Qin Chu didn't mind bringing Huo Mian along, no matter who he was meeting, where he was going, or what he was doing.

To him, there was no such thing as 'inconvenient'...

Rick was wearing a white shirt and black vest, and his eyes were as blue as the ocean...

Everyone knew that mix-blood people were beautiful, but Rick was so handsome Huo Mian couldn't think of a word to describe him.

Rick wasn't surprised to see Huo Mian; it seemed like he had gotten used to the way Qin Chu spoiled his wife.

"Sit."

After sitting down, a server handed them each a cup of tea.

Huo Mian took a whiff. "These are Maofeng tea leaves picked before Qingming... the smell is so aromatic... wow."

Rick froze for a second. Then, he glanced at Huo Mian. "Take some with you when you leave."

"No, no, it's okay." Huo Mian waved her hands, but Qin Chu reminded her with a smile, "It's okay, he's really rich. You can rip him off."

Rick was at a loss for words as Huo Mian chuckled.

"What did you wanted to talk to me about?" Qin Chu leaned back nonchalantly on Rick's couch.

His relationship with Rick was different than that of Gao Ran; he and Gao Ran were childhood friends, so they often made fun of each other. Rick, however, was a man of few words. They didn't talk much but were always in tacit agreement.

Huo Mian looked up to see Rick pick up a black bank card from his desk. He then threw it onto the coffee table in front of Qin Chu.

"What's this?"

"Money."

"How much is it?"

"3 billion."

Qin Chu asked straightforward questions, while Rick answered the same way.

"How did you get so much money?"

"My dad and brother gave me some."

Huo Mian listened silently; 3 billion wasn't a lot, but it was enough to stop GK from going bankrupt. Rick was really rich... he may just be the owner of a nightclub, but he was wealthy enough to purchase a small country.

"You're lending this to me?"

"Mhm." Rick nodded.

"Can't you lie to me and say that I don't need to pay you back?" Qin Chu joked, but Rick answered in all seriousness, "It's 3 billion US dollars, of course you have to pay me back."

Upon hearing this, Huo Mian almost spat out the tea in her mouth.

3 billion US dollars?

Holy crap, that was more than 18 billion yuan... they would still have money left over once they repaid all of their debt.

Rick was sure lowkey... he never once flaunted his wealth.

Little did Huo Mian know that Rick was from a famous gangster family in Europe and the Americas. Aside from laundering money and smuggling arms, they even controlled drug deals and were major shareholders at a renowned international brand.

So, why would Rick come all the way to C City just to run a small nightclub?

He liked China and was good friends with Qin Chu. Moreover, he had gotten used to the weather here, and since it was his mother's hometown, he felt attached to this city.

"I don't have to give you interest, right?" Qin Chu rubbed his forehead and asked arrogantly.
