Chapter 1455: Called by Stillwater

The very next morning, Ning and the rest were awoken by loud knocks on the door. After the knocks persisted for a while, Jasmine went and opened it.

"Oh, why are you here?" Jasmine asked the young girl Elisa who stood outside with a slightly impatient expression on her face.

"Miss Jasmine, the Captain has asked that you to her as soon as you can. She specifically requests that um..." Elisa's eyes glanced into the room, looking for something. "That umm... that you bring the sir with him when you come. Oh, and she asks that you bring her treasures with you too."

"Okay," Jasmine said, yawning a little.

Elisa stood out the door patiently waiting.

"Wait, right now?" she asked.

"As soon as you can. I'm to take you there," she said.

"Oh," Jasmine gave a somewhat surprised sound and quickly walked back into the room to tell everyone what was happening.

"Curious," Ning said. "Let's go what is happening. No need to wake the other two. Tim especially seems to have been using his treasure a lot, so he isn't going to wake up anytime soon."

Jasmine and Ning walked out of the door, following the young girl as they made their way down the stairs of the hotel. "Why couldn't she come up?" Ning asked. "Is she injured?"

"The captain? No, she isn't injured," the girl said.

"Then why are we going to her?" Ning asked.

"I... don't know," the girl said. "She asked me to bring you, and so I did."

Ning frowned a little. "Whatever," he said and made his way down the stairs until he arrived at the ground floor of the hotel. And then Elisa took them through the back.

The back of the hotel led the way to a large open space with many pirates working out in the morning. This was also where people cooked and was overall the hideout for the Stillheart pirates.

Ning walked through it, looking around at some wounded men who were being treated. Those wounds looked quite fresh from what he could see. They had been in some sort of fight, but it didn't look as though they had taken much loss.

There were gun wounds and slashed wounds, as well as some stab wounds, making Ning wonder just what had happened. Beyond the field was a well-kept place of two floors, where the girl took them.

Ning and Jasmine entered the building and arrived outside a room where two guards, men they had seen yesterday with Stillwater, stood watch outside the doors.

Elisa walked up to the door and knocked on it. "Captain, I've brought them," she said.

"Come in," Stillwater's voice spoke from inside the room.

Once the door opened, Ning could see the woman inside sitting on a couch in front of a desk full of papers. Opposite her sat the man who had registered them at the hotel yesterday.

He stood up and moved to the other side of the couch, making way for the two who had entered.

Ning looked through the papers, seeing a lot of information on them, all of which had to do with many of the pirates that had treasures with them.

There was a page with Silvereye thrown aside, a page with Tiffany on one corner, and a page with Ironheart crossed out. There were pages with Redfist and Greenskulls took, many of them.

All of them spread throughout the table as though they had been researching it all night.

Stillwater had dark circles beneath her eyes as though she hadn't had any sleep just yet. Even the man beside her looked tired.

"Why did you call us?" Ning asked. "You should have come visit us on your own."

The woman looked up at Ning for a moment before looking down at the papers. "I am busy, so I couldn't go to you," she said. "I'm doing as you asked, so I hope you won't be angry."

"Is that the reason?" Ning asked.

The woman looked back up in surprise, seeing the gentle smile on his face. It terrified her.

"N-no," she said. "What's the real reason?" Ning asked.

"I... I did not want to be seen by my men without my treasures. The moment they see me without my treasure, I fear everything I've done will come undone," she said.

"I see," Ning said. "That is a good enough reason, I suppose. So, why were we called here? I see you have quite a lot of information spread around you."

"We gained every information we could get our hands on to make it easier for us to get a treasure," she said, gesturing to the information.

"So you are going to go attack these people?" Ning asked. "Silvereye wouldn't work, and these two already got the hook's information, so I would appreciate it if you ignored the two."

The woman quickly nodded. "Silvereye's information is old. That is why he's been discarded." She pointed to the hook next. "And Hook has vanished with his treasure overnight. There is a rumor going around that he couldn't use his treasure at all since yesterday, so he has already left the island."

"Tim used the eyepatch on the hook," Jasmine said softly. "Maybe that's why."

"I see," Ning said. "So you must be planning to go after the other two."

"Planning?" the woman said. "No. We've already attacked them. We went for the two remaining easier targets we could go. Sam and Tiffany."

"Ironheart Sam... he owns a bangle, I believe," Jasmine said. "And this Tiffany, she is called a Whirlwind and owns a knife."

Something banged on the table and Jasmine looked up.

A golden bangle lay on the table, glimmering through the faint light that came from the windows.

"You got Ironheart Sam's bangle?" Ning asked. "Is that why his name is crossed out?"

"His name is crossed out because he is dead," the woman said. "After leaving your place, I decided upon what I had to do and so I sent my men after the two easy targets."

"In a fight that began, my men killed Ironheart Sam and got his treasure."
