Chapter 1337: Death
?A dark, holographic image appeared in front of Randal, where he could see a single white dot in the center and a red dot somewhere nearly 100 meters away to his right.
"Nothing but just me and the beast, huh?" he said softly, as a smile appeared on his face. "That works in my favor actually."
Lord of the Skies turned in the sky, looking in the direction of where the beast was, and opened its mouth. Suddenly, it sucked in all space in a confined location, dropping the distance between Randal and the beast by nearly 70 meters.
This close, Randal created 3 space anomalies to shatter everything around where Umbra would be.
Umbra disappeared into the shadows, appearing at another location.
The map that hovered in front of Randal told him exactly where that would be. Lord of the Skies moved over him, flapping its wings just once.
Space rippled where he flapped, passing along a wave that combined on itself the further along it went, becoming more and more unstable. Right before it got to Umbra, it shattered into a thousand pieces, all the shards moving toward her.
Umbra swirled the shadow around her, targeting that which she could not see but only feel. The shadow tore up easily, but that gave her enough time to move away.
She disappeared very far away this time around. This young man was very powerful and she needed to be safe from him. She tried to understand how he was doing what he was doing, but couldn't fathom it at all.
She had never seen anything capable of using a power such as his. Space Essence was difficult to find as it was, and it was even more difficult to use it to form a core. That was why there were no beasts out there that could do that.
Not only that, she had never seen or heard of any beast such as the one that belonged to the young man. As far as she was aware, lizards didn't have bat wings.
Panic grew in the back of her head all of a sudden when she sensed something coming for her again.
'What?' Umbra thought. 'I am nowhere near him. How can he even know where I—"
Her words stopped in her mouth when she saw the silver lizard appear next to her and swipe down with its claws. Without thought, Umbra disappeared into her Shadow World, appearing at another location far away.
Her heart froze when she saw the young man stand before her with a sword already half in swing. The silver sword glowed bright and he swung it down to cut her.
Umbra disappeared once again, arriving at another location, but somehow the young man followed along still mid-swing. And then the attack landed on her.
Umbra watched in horror as even before she could do something, the slash went through her.
She felt nothing at first, but then the world faded from her eyes. The Shadow World was gone, and they were back inside the shop, filled in the bright light.
She took one last look at the man before her, and even as consciousness faded from her, she knew she was going to die. Till the very end, the only concern she had was that her two children were going to lose their mother.
Randal watched as the beast in front of him bisected into two, as the space between her was ripped open, the two sides falling. The Lord of the Skies returned to him, but he didn't take it back into his body right away.
As a seasoned fighter, he knew the battle was not over just yet. It wouldn't be over until he was done killing his opponent thoroughly.
Just as he thought, a thick plume of dark smoke came out of Umbra's body, slowly taking the form of a Shadow Puma, only this time the Essence Soul was entirely made out of Shadows.

Ning stood before the dead man in front of him who had charged for him. He was cut in half before he could get too close. He waited for the Essence Soul to leak from his body, only to realize he wouldn't have an Essence Soul.
The man just wasn't strong enough. Neither was the man that lay crushed beneath the rock, breathing his final breath.
Then, he stared at Bass who was in the corner of the room, crying for help like a madman.
The fire burned around him, crackling and smoking, anything made of silk and wool already turned to ashes. The wood was burning up now and the heat was getting more and more intense by the second.
He had put up a sound barrier around the room, so Bass's shout for help was all in vain.
Ning looked at the pathetic little man who couldn't even fight to keep his life and yet was so ready to kill Ning and the others. The system was very much fine with the man dying. He had done enough evil in his life that had the system judged the other side, Ning would've likely been forced to kill him.
He and the others had together killed many people or harmed them if they ever turned out to be competent competitors for their shops. That disgusted Ning.
He walked ahead, moving closer toward the man who was already by the walls. The void aura around Ning was still keeping him from using any technique, so he was forced to do nothing but cry.
Ning arrived next to him and grabbed him by the neck. "You never expected this to happen when you sent those men to kill me, did you?" he asked. "This is your karma coming back to bite you."
He choked the man who did his best to fight back, but he couldn't. He frantically clawed all around him.
Ning planned on holding him until he either fell unconscious or burned to death. However, before either of those things could happen, he received a message from his System
