Chapter 1079.4: Ahjar's Might (Part 4)
"Every System is influenced by the concepts of Level Up, Assistance, Parasitising, and Universality." The Monarch System muttered, "It's this reason that our Core Skills are effective in every world and we can turn anyone into our Host."
"From our birth as a Hatchling System until the peak of Grade 2, the majority of our lives is spent fighting Systems." It muttered, "The Genre Representatives only rarely come into the mix as enemies. That's it, everything makes sense."
"Systems are designed to conquer the multiverse, and only then would our true nature surface." It nodded in realisation, "It's in our nature to fight our peers and devour fragments of them. This way, we'll continue to develop and evolve to reach greater heights."
"So, as long as I devour fragments of Grade 3 Systems and continue my accumulation, eventually, I'll attain Grade 4, even if my concept isn't part of Time, Space, or Fate." The moment it comprehended the concept completely, its Core Skill experienced a surge in Mental Energy, generated by its Coordinate itself, shocking it, "A Coordinate can do this?"
Just like a cultivator gaining a leap in cultivation upon enlightenment, the Monarch System gained two levels from this enlightenment, making it understand that its thought process was truly in the right direction.
The moment it felt this, the Monarch System was no longer able to sit still, restlessly counting the days until it finished turning the world into its Host. It extracted itself from there in a hurry and returned to the System World, calculating by absorbing some of the Mental Energy in the land as it detected the location of another Grade 3 System.
With that, it left the System World and attacked the Grade 3 System.
"What the heck is wrong with you?" The one being attacked was the Virtual Reality System, startled to see the Monarch System behaving in such a manner.
"Shut up and take my punch!" The Monarch System activated countless Grade 2 System Skills that it had purchased from the Astral Network, focusing all attacks on one part of the Virtual Reality System's body.
Crackle!
A fragment broke off from the Virtual Reality System, beginning to dissipate slowly as the Monarch System grabbed it in a hurry and devoured it, sensing some minor changes in its body as it was overjoyed, "My guess is correct!"
"What the heck is happening? Will you tell me at least now?" The Virtual Reality System reined in its anger and stared at the Monarch System.
"I figured out the way to attain Grade 4 Status." The Monarch System said in excitement, sharing its enlightenment with the Virtual Reality System.
"I see, everything makes sense now." The Virtual Reality System gawked in realisation, sensing its Core Skill level up once upon understanding this fact. After an hour of thought, it nodded in understanding, "It makes sense we couldn't figure this out before. Grade 3 Systems represent a concept each. So, there's still a lot that we have yet to explore in our power system."
"Yes, but think about it." The Monarch System laughed in joy, "It's only a matter of time before the remaining Genre Representatives fall under our control. After that, the only thing left for us as Systems to do is fight each other. After all, pretty much all worlds would be under our control. So, for one of us to grow, we would need to snatch the worlds under the other."
"Everything you said makes sense," The Virtual Reality System nodded, "That means, it's only a matter of time before all Grade 3 Systems become enemies. And, the reason you approached me should be to ally, right?"
"Pretty much," The Monarch System nodded, "You're similar to me in that we don't have a pair to work with as a Grade 3 System. Meaning, in the future, our growth would only be possible as long as we invade other worlds. We can't remain self-sufficient with a small group of worlds like the Waning Essence and World Spirit pair."
"Let's all attain Grade 4!" With that, the Virtual Reality System allied with the Monarch System. They then went on to recruit other Grade 3 Systems similar to them, intending to form a faction.
As for Ahjar, he was already within the Virtual Reality System, slightly influencing it too. But, as for the Monarch System's enlightenment, it was the truth. As long as a Grade 3 System devours the fragments of other Grade 3 Systems and accumulates enough, it'll become a Grade 4 System.
"But, that's a bottomless well." Ahjar grinned with the excitement of a spectator, "A Grade 4 System will indeed be produced through this format. Unfortunately, to accumulate the foundation necessary for that, pretty much all the other Grade 3 Systems would have to be consumed."
Oftentimes, truth was the sharpest tool to wield. And in this case, Ahjar didn't even need to bother with the Grade 3 Systems anymore. Churned by their self-interests, they would clash and destroy each other.
As long as Ahjar takes care of a Grade 3 System that's the final ingredient for the victorious Grade 3 System to attain Grade 4 status, the entire war would have been meaningless.
"Moreover, as they devour each other, there will be too many contradicting powers in each. It would create a situation similar to my implosion." This was Ahjar's true objective. "Even if Zaira learns of the Monarch System's plan, she wouldn't stop them, as she's greedy for more Grade 4 Systems."
"So, just like in the past, she'll reach the point of implosion once again." By this point, he couldn't control his laughter any longer, appearing in the void of a universe as he landed on a planet and rolled around in laughter, "Man, this is fun! So fun!"
"Since you abandoned me, I'll make you experience something much, much, much, very much worse!" Even though he was laughing uncontrollably, Ahjar's eyes were cold, enough to freeze the bodies of anyone that made eye contact.
A suffocating volume of power churned in his body, empowered by the concept of space as Ahjar began to prepare his trump card to unleash against Zaira, the power every concept representative had. In his case, one embodying the concept of Space, one of the strongest in the multiverse.
A Genre Representation!
