Chapter 1049: Paper Note 6

The old nanny once told her that this piece of real estate had been bought by Jin Ze many years ago and hadn't been exposed to the public, so those who knew about its address were very few. It was rare for them to have guests who were not Jin Ze.

Therefore, the one who pressed the doorbell had to be the owner of the house.

Cheng Qingchong was sitting in the living room, wracked with tension, before standing up to get the door. However, before she reached it, the door was already pushed open from the outside after the person keyed in the password.

Jin Ze still looked as presentable as he often did. He stood at the entrance to take off his jacket, and as he did so, he glanced at Cheng Qingchong. When he saw her standing by the sofa like an idiot, his brows furrowed. He pointed at the shoe rack next to him, adding, "Slippers."

"Oh..." Cheng Qingchong responded and stood where she was for another two seconds before running to serve Jin Ze. She opened the shoe rack to pull out a pair of slippers and placed them neatly before Jin Ze.

Jin Ze slipped into the slippers and made a beeline for the wine rack. He pulled out an already open wine bottle and a glass. When he poured himself a glass a wine, he saw Cheng Qingchong still standing at the front door, so he ordered, "Bath water."

Cheng Qingchong nodded heavily twice at him before walking into the main bedroom like a machine. Around twenty minutes later, Cheng Qingchong came out from within. She stood at the bedroom door and said in a soft tone, "The bath has been drawn."

Jin Ze glanced at Cheng Qingchong but didn't say anything. He tipped the rest of the glass back, put the glass back on the counter, and moved toward the bathroom in the main bedroom.

After Jin Ze removed his clothes, he suddenly realized that he had forgotten to carry with him his casual clothes. Thus, he called outside the door, "Xiao Yin."

Cheng Qingchong didn't respond.

It was not until Jin Ze called "Xiao Yin" again that she realized he was calling her. Xiao Yin was the name of Jin Ze's ex-wife. He had already told her that she was merely the stand-in for his wife, and it was her fault for not getting used to it yet.

Cheng Qingchong immediately answered his call. Then she heard Jin Ze's voice say, "Go into the closet to grab me a pair of pajamas."

After a pause, Jin Ze added, "The blue ones."

As she stepped into the closet, Cheng Qingchong saw the blue pajamas Jin Ze was referring to. They looked old and worn; the tailoring was already coming loose. The old nanny knew he was coming home that day, so last night, she purposely pulled out these old pajamas to give them a wash.

At the time, Cheng Qingchong had been curious about why a man as rich as Jin Ze would still keep a set of pajamas as old as these.

Even though she didn't pose the question verbally, the old nanny saw the question on her face and told her that the pajamas were a present from Mrs. Jin to Mr. Jin.

Cheng Qingchong carried the pajamas into the bathroom, and when she entered, Jin Ze was fully naked in the large bathtub that could fit in several adults. Bath salt had been added to the bath, and the copious amount of bubbles covered up most of his body, but even so, Cheng Qingchong still blushed vehemently. She placed the pajamas down and quickly retreated from the bathroom.

By the time Jin Ze had finished the bath, the old nanny had finished preparing the dinner.

After cleaning up the dinner, the old nanny took her stuff and tactfully exited the house to return to her own home.

Only Jin Ze and Cheng Qingchong were left in the three hundred square foot house. This made Cheng Qingchong incredibly worried.

The long overseas trip combined with the long plane ride had exhausted Jin Ze. It was only 10 pm when he told Cheng Qingchong, "Time to sleep."
