Chapter 2270: Clash

Sam didn't waste the chance.

He disappeared once again and reappeared beside another shadow undead that was closest to Marron.

*BANG*

Marron braced herself for the impact and blocked his move.

*BANG*

She was able to block him easily, but not the undead that came from behind her. The undead hacked on her back, expanding the previous injury that was already bleeding.

Marron winced at the sudden pain and kicked backwards, the undead was destroyed in a puff of smoke. Sam also did the same and disappeared from there, reappearing near an undead that is far away.

By now, Marron dealt with two of Sam's undead, but the problem is they are just shadow undead, they could be respawned as long as Sam had enough spiritual energy and a decent control over it. Sam did have both of them.

Sam threw two more projectiles at her. She pursed her lips and realized that blocking them or deflecting them, might not be ideal. So, she decided to make the most proper decision at the time. She dodged.

She ran away from them and the projectiles missed her by a large margin. However, Sam didn't use them to spawn the undead. He just kept on throwing projectiles at her as she dodged them, trying to keep as much distance as possible.

Marron spun her staff and more blood gushed out of her wounds on the back. The bleeding appeared unnatural and certainly dangerous, but even her complexion didn't change. The blood morphed into projectiles as well and she started throwing them at Sam.

The way of her control is also unique as she used her staff to launch the energy required to throw the projectiles.

Another unique point is that when Sam dodged them, he realized that they are homing towards him. She is controlling the blood projectiles while creating more from her own blood. Sam also started increasing the rate of his attacks, but most of his energy went into dodging.

Her bleeding increased at an alarming rate, but she is not showing any signs of stopping. She is not getting slow, not losing control and didn't even show a sign of weakness or dizziness.

Sam is sure any other cultivator would have been dead by now if they bled that much.

As the time passed, Sam's movements are getting restricted. Its just that there is way too much blood surrounding him and it is all trying to kill him.

As the exchange continued, everyone else is engrossed in the fight.

They are very impressed with both sides, but Sam's fighting style is raising a shit ton of questions.

"Why is he not using any other abilities of his? He uses almost ten elements, why is he sticking so hard with that shadow element?"

"I think that it is a better decision to do something like that. That could be his main choice of the element that he is confident with.

And the speed of the shadow element might be the only reason he survived this long. He cannot do that even with the wind element."

"You maybe right, but he should have used other elements at least for his own support. Even though Marron's blood manipulation is dangerous and versatile, I believe he could benefit from mixing up his earth element a bit here and there."

"Like hell it would be helpful. And what do you know, have you used a ten elements before?"

The discussions like that are sprouting everywhere in the gallery and people are getting more and more opinionated with the fight. But they are all enjoying it and craved for more.

Even though Sam's element of choice puzzled many people, some also understood it. Marron is not exactly known for her overwhelming strength against her enemies. She always won with overwhelming control of the battlefield.

The versatility of both the staff and her blood manipulation made her try to control the battlefield as much as possible to gain victory.

Everyone that is knowledgeable about her skills expected a similar strategy from her and that is how it went. She tried to gauge Sam's strength with her staff and most likely wanted to progress with the usage of her abilities.

It would have worked.

But only this time, she met her match. Sam is even more of a control freak than her and he knew that he should never give it up. He chose the shadow element precisely because of that. When facing with a stronger opponent, speed is the way to go. The versatility of the shadow element made it easy for him to keep the balance in the battlefield.

From all the simulations he watched of Marron, he noticed that by now, she would have complete control of her opponents' moves, but Sam is still like a slippery loach.

She didn't have the control of the battlefield yet and she was the only one with higher number of injuries.

Now, she is trying desperately to take the control back and win over Sam.

At least she saw some improvement in the situation. Sam on the other hand is feeling the pressure. He could feel his energy exhausting bit by bit.

However, that became the least of his worries the very next second, because he foresaw something that's coming.

As he was hurriedly dodging the bloody projectiles while throwing some of his own, he noticed that some of the blood projectiles are hovering without doing anything, even when he walked past it. That made him observe the rest of the projectiles and realized something.

A memory flashed in his head.

'I can't believe I realized it this late. Good thing I already have a counter in mind.'

He thought to himself, but even before he could finish that thought, all of a sudden Morron started glowing, along with all the blood projectiles that are hovering around in the air. Energy strands shot out of them connecting each other, finally creating a formation.

Sam who was on the move, was suddenly caught by the web cast by that formation and was dragged into the middle of it.

Marron's staff is glowing brighter than anything as more and more blood seeped out of her body. Not just from the injuries, but from her pores as well. All that blood circled around the arena as it concentrated around Sam.

It created a sphere circulating around with an extreme speed.

Sam felt his fusion form waver. He is locked out of the surrounding spiritual energy. The blood's speed increased as it tried to seep into his skin. Sam didn't panic. He has seen this move, way too many times.

He cancelled the shadow fusion and his vampire bloodline is activated. No one could see him by now and his aura is also completely suppressed by Marron's blood. He let her blood hit him as sharply as it could.

It seeped into his body, but instead of hurting him as it should, it just stayed there. Sam could have absorbed it and converted into his own energy if he wanted, but he stayed his hand for that part. Otherwise, it would be too noticeable.

At the same time, he slowly activated partial water fusion. As a vampire he has certain control over blood. It is certainly not enough to create projectiles with it, but it is enough to combine with his water element.

Blood in usual cases has around fifty five percent of plasma out of which ninety percent is water. So, typical blood is made of fifty percent of water. The rest of it is all combined with this water, so when he moves the water within the blood, the rest moves as well.

With the partial fusion, he is also fusing himself with the blood that is now trying to penetrate his vampire body.

Marron got ready to crush Sam, but the next moment, she felt the connection between her and the blood loosen up. She realized that she didn't have complete control over it.

Before she knew it, she felt huge pressure pressing on the blood sphere from inside.

*BOOM*

Blood colored water gushed out of the sphere mixed up with the blood. In the middle of it all stood Sam in his weird form that is a fusion of the water elemental fusion and vampire form. His hydra bloodline riled up and the mixture of water and blood around him took the form of nine giant hydra heads.

Sam jumped and the nine heads followed up shooting towards Marron along with his staff.

Marron gritted her teeth ad swung her staff.

Blood rushed out of her body. Her body started turning into blood color. It is very similar to a fusion form. The blood rushed out and turned into several swirling missiles and moved forward to clash with Sam's attack.

*BOOM*

Blood and water mixed together showered the whole arena. In the middle of that chaos, Sam and Marron clashed with their staves. At that moment, Marron who should have had upper hand all along, suddenly felt something tugging from her back, followed by that....

"ARGHHHHHHH......." She screamed at the top of her lungs.
