Chapter 3901: Cultists Gather
I woke up after a good night of sleep. Immediately, everything that happened throughout the night flooded into me.
I may have slept, but I was not careless. I had my clone on duty with strict instructions.
Including what to do under a certain condition and when to wake me up it had done a wonderful job.
The day, I had been waiting for is today.
It had been three days after Ales, and I thought it would be a day or two more.
They are still short on one body, but I have no doubt they will arrange that. From the conversation, I know how prepared these people are.
They are even prepared for a thing, like that.
Hun!
I was just thinking that when the woman closed the book, she was reading got up.
"I am going for delivery," she announced and walked out of the cavern.
A few minutes later, she returned, bringing a woman like the man had brought me. The last person they needed before their ritual could start.
"We got the last person, begin the preparations," said the woman to the old man.
Ghav is a mid-level cult. They are not the worship type, but use a method and formation.
They might use common rune formation, but there is a meaning added to it, that makes them more complex than any ancient rune ones.
The creator of the cult is a titan.
I was shocked when I read about it, but it is true. The titans have emotions and thus could be bad. Bad enough to start a cult and make it across the world.
It has spread its teaching and methods across the world. Creating one of the most frustrating cult organizations.
Most cultists could be recognized when looked deeply enough into their bodies, but it is not like these bastards.
Their methods are good enough, that they barely leave behind any traces in their bodies and soul.
So, it is very hard to discover them.
Over two hours passed, and the first person appeared, well, three. It is Korud, Garros, and Earth Sovereign, a woman with feathery wings.
She is the healer at Garros hospital.
"Tomorrow, it will be two and a half decades. I hope, you will do, what you promised and release my wife," said Garros.
Immediately, the smiles appeared on the faces of the cultist.
The scales of the woman had even shaken her head.
"Unfortunately, it is not going to happen. You had become too valuable for us; your wife will stay here till the end," replied the woman.
The raging anger blazed across Garros' eyes, and I thought the old man would scream or even attack.
The cultists are clearly prepared seeing how Earth Sovereigns moved back while the changes appeared in the body language of the cultists.
He didn't attack or scream. Just looked at the white-scaled woman.
"You are breaking the promise," he said with desperation in his voice. The woman smiled, seeing that.
"We are cultists, after all. It is in our blood," she replied.
She might smile, looking confident, but there is a faint hesitation in her eyes.
The higher one's level, the more seriously they take the words uttered by them.
The words have power, and the laws of the world don't take kindly to those who break them. There are consequences, if one does that often.
"You should accept the things what they are. If you try something else, we wouldn't mind doing what we did last time again."
"This time, your wife might not be able to survive," she said, and the old man shuddered.
She waved her hand, and an invisible door opened.
The old man looked at her, with all the hate and desperation before walking toward the door, where the older elf standing with a smile on her face.
"Did he really think we would let his wife go?" said the old man with a laugh before shaking his head.
Nobody said anything and went back to their preparations.
An hour later, Ales came, and then a few minutes after that, two people came.
One of them is a Sky Sovereigns, and the other is an Earth Sovereign.
The Sky Sovereign horned man is Healer Uilib and the man beside him is a healer working in his hospital. I know, there are other healers, than Garros.
The last one to arrive was a handsome half-elf.
The town's herbal store owner.
"Now, that all of us have arrived. We can begin," said the woman, looking at the old man.
He sighed, and a moment later, I felt his energy covering me. Not only me, but everybody in the hole. He covered us before moving us out.
Soon, all thirty-two bodies moved.
Of the thirty-two people, twenty-four are Earth Sovereigns, and eight are Sky Sovereigns.
He brought us above the formation.
It is a concentric circle formation. He put, the eight Sky Sovereign in the inner circle, me, and other Earth Sovereigns into the middle circles and eight of them took their places in the outer circle.
"I hope, this will be enough to take me to the limit. I had filled every condition."
"If it takes me to the limit; I am going to make a breakthrough in the Sky Sovereign," said Korud, hope filling his voice.
"Don't worry, we will give you an extra fill," said the scaled woman, and his eyes lit with joy.
Some are happy by her words, but nobody dares to complain.
"Thank you, leader," said the half-elf.
"We should start. The quicker we start, the quicker we will get the benefits we want," said the old man curtly, and everybody nodded.
Step Step Step!
I felt their energies moving to activate the method when all of them stopped and turned, hearing the steps.
They looked back in shock and saw two people walking toward them casually, with smiles on their faces.
"See, I am right. There are less than ten cultists. Pay up!" said Taev.
"I lost the bet," Magli said with a sigh and handed her the storage, before turning to the cultist with a grin.
"Hello, all!" he greeted boisterously.
