Chapter 2170: Expulsion
The next morning.
Bloody Chariot is sitting in his new office. He is leaning in the chair while holding his glabella. He never felt a headache like this. It was like a thousand crazy monkeys are ganging up and beating his brain with hammers.
He looked at the four kids in front of him. The first four suspects. They are all standing there in front of him with hands cross, legs shaking and heads bowed down. They didn't dare look at him straight.
"Just what is wrong with your heads? How did you even get into this school with brains like that?"
He asked with genuine puzzlement.
He is not even sarcastic. He is genuinely curious about their level of intelligence.
As for the reason? It is easy to guess.
Last night after he went back to the academy from meeting, leaving the students alone, he thought they would have sense to not reveal the critical information like their payment status to anyone else.
However, by sunrise, when he was talking a walk in the campus, he noticed that half the people he encountered were talking about this situation. The news spread like a wildfire. And as soon as he reached the office, the first message he received is from the Norse Elders, stating that they have something to talk and on the sidenote, they also informed him that there is might be no more need for further investigation.
Of course, Bloody Chariot is not as stupid as these kids to not understand the implication behind it. They are clearly stating that they knew the information and now they are going to hammer don hard to get the heads of these four kids.
As if that is not enough, these idiots did something else.
In that panicked state, they actually called their homes and explained the whole thing. Now, four fucking Noble league families are involved. Their representatives are already here and even some of the forces are being deployed.
The worst part of it all?
The news of the families getting involved also spread to the Norse academies for some reason. As for who did this part, no one knew. He immediately called for these idiots and that created the current situation.
The four students just stayed put without doing anything. They are extremely stressed and panicked.
"What do you guys want to do, now?
The news of your payment status is enough to paint you guilty. Nobody would give a shit if you actually did it or not.
I for one, won't believe that you are capable of pulling this off. You are cowards, big ones too. And your greed is not enough to overpower the cowardice."
They all nodded. Completely agreeing with the statement. They are cowards. If they can get out of this situation, they will admit that they are not even adults and no even men. Bloody chariot continued after short pause.
"However, the Norse Academies have way too much to gain and way too much evidence supporting their claims. They wouldn't back down.
And logically speaking, the current state of the Academy cannot afford another opponent. Half of the people are out to do the 12 labors and the other half is waiting for their own labors and trials.
I should just hand over you idiots and be done with it. If I did that, with some strings pulled, I am sure you would have gone through the formal trial and be let off with some punishment and some huge drain in your pocket.
However, you needed to prove your freaking stupidity and had to go and babble to your families. Making everything complicated.
So, right now elders from different Norse Academies are waiting outside and they are almost ready to knock the doors down to take you away. What should I do?"
The four of them were silent. They couldn't bring themselves to say anything. In their minds, they would very much prefer to say that he needs to protect them.
Not 'he can kindly' protect them or 'if he can protect them'. He needs to.
Fuckers are entitled.
However, they also have a feeling that they would be beaten until they reach the underworld if they spoke like that. So, they held back.
*KNOCK* *KNOCK*
An attendant entered.
"Sir, the Elders from the Norse region are here. They are demanding to see you right now."
Bloody Chariot raised an eyebrow and asked.
"Demanding?"
"Yes, Sir. They are very demanding. Their choice of words indicated that."
Bloody Chariot sighed and looked at the kids.
"Things I have to bear for the likes of you. The Gungnir is a kid in front of me. And I respect him a lot. Now because of you, fools I couldn't even stand worthy of getting the respect reciprocated. Idiots."
He looked at the attendant and told him to allow the elders in.
Soon, the room is packed. This time all the Elders that were deployed on the mission are here.
Gungnir was once again in the lead and he looked at Bloody Chariot with a menacing aura.
Bloody Chariot looked at him with a smile and spoke.
"Before you speak anything, I must say my piece.
I understand that all of you are pretty angry, even so far as to demanding to see me. I can understand it very well. And based on the evidence it indeed seems like that these kids did the deed. For that reason, as a punishment, we are expelling these four students. And we will be looking into the second set of suspects.
If they also deemed to be the same, they will be expelled also.
With this, I would like to make sure that you understand something. The actions of these kids are not related to the Zeus Academy in any way, shape or form."
Pin drop silence. No one expected that turn of events. Not even close to what they imagined how this scenario will turn out to be.
"You.... Expelled them?"
Gungnir asked with almost a stutter.
"I did." Bloody Chariot just smiled and looked at the kids.
"Since, they are so eager to contact their families about this, they must be very secure with their family backing.
If you have a bone to pick with them, you can do so, but not in my academy though.
They are given exactly half a day to evacuate the Academy premises. Once they are out of that gate, you can do whatever you want with them. They are not our business anymore."
Gungnir was stumped. But he gathered his thoughts and immediately responded.
"Why don't you just handover them to us?"
"Is it my business to handover them to you? If there was indeed concrete proof, I would have done exactly that.
But Gungnir, you and I both know that there really is no concrete proof for this.
Still, because of their mistake, I expelled them. If you want to take them away, do as you please when they are out of this place. That is it."
Gungnir left without saying anything. He wanted to push it a bit, but looking at Bloody Chariot's face, he felt a bit threatened.
He silently walked out along with the other elders.
One of the younger elders couldn't hold back and asked.
"Sir, Bloody chariot definitely backed down. Why don't we just pressure him now? It is not like we came here to resolve this issue. We came here to increase the pressure and take that legacy inheritance."
Gungnir looked at the man and scoffed.
"Demand? Bloody Chariot? I should have punched you in the face when you used that word before. I am glad that there is some mistake on the other side, otherwise, we wouldn't have your body remained to take back to your family."
His voice was calm and cold, stunning everyone else.
Gungnir however didn't even look at them. He just looked straight as they walked and continued speaking.
"Have you heard of the Branxin Family?"
The rest exchanged a glance and one of them spoke.
"Yes, isn't it one of the Noble league families that declined after their head died twenty five years ago? They used to be one of the great patrons of the Zeus Academy." "Twenty-five years ago, that was the first time Bloody Chariot came out of the Academy, just for two days. That was the first time he showed his face after he joined as the Grand Elder.
He went out to meet someone, there he was having a drink, while sitting in a seat. And a guy demanded that he give up the seat.
Bloody Chariot didn't even look to the side, he just slapped the guy's head off. It turned into bloody mist and the body fell right there."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"The place he visited in the Branxin family's main hall, the chair he seat and drink he had belonged to the head of that family and the dead man was the head of the Branxin family."
