Chapter 1163: Making A Family Part 1

1163 Making A Family Part 1

Jay lowered his head in thought. He knew Gina was right. But he also knew that he could not just let Gina pay for everything either. If he wanted the best for Kana, then he would need to start working even harder and expand past his current job.

"Jay?" Gina looked at Jay, who had gone quiet, and wondered if this stubborn fool would act up again.

Kana stared at the two. She kind of wished she was older so she could give them a bigger push. But there was nothing else she could do at this time. Once things began to settle a bit, she would hack into the banks and secure some funding so she could start a few companies and put them all under Jay's name. Of course, she would be the representative until it was time for Jay to learn what she had done. Luckily for her, she was long lived, so years went by quickly.

"Gina, you are right. I need to give Kana the best. While I hate having to rely on others, I will be in your care from now on. But just know that one day, I will be the one to support you and Kana." Jay had finally shown his pure determination. Since Gina was willing to be by his side, he would finally answer her.

Gina stared at the young man in front of her, her eyes tearing up. She never thought this stupid man would finally grant her wish! "It's about time, dummy!" She patted Kana's head. She had to thank this little one for bringing her the final step into this stupid man's heart.

"Gina, I promise I will not let you down." Jay had avoided Gina before since he did not feel he matched her. She was rich while he was struggling. But now, with Kana, he had to put aside his own pride and take the helping hand while finally allowing himself to look at the girl he had liked for a while. "I know you won't." Gina smiled brightly. "I can finally tell my stupid brother that I won!"

"Haha! I am sure Todd will drag me out for a guys' night out." Jay could see Todd now. He would definitely want him to go out for a while to celebrate.

"Just don't cheat." Gina gave Todd a look that said I will kill you if you cheat.

"Don't worry, I want Kana to grow up in a proper family," Jay replied. He would never cheat. He would make sure both Kana and Gina were always happy.

"So about the place I spoke about...." Gina decided to try her luck once more.

"Let's take a look first." Since he decided to do this, he would be sure to follow through with it. Kana also needed her own room as well. Gina smiled and kissed Kana's cheek. Soon, the food arrived, and Kana had to say that she loved the food at this place. It was very good, but not as good as Nancey's cooking. She did miss Nancey's cooking. She wondered why she did not bring Nancey with her.

The day went on. She had a doctor poke and prod her. A dentist who stretched her mouth out in all kinds of angels. By the time she was done, she felt tired. Not physically but mentally. Having to act younger than you were was no simple task. After dinner, they went back to Jay's house, where Gina stood at the door, not wanting to let go of Kana. "Mama will be back tomorrow, so make sure you behave for Papa. Tomorrow, we will also look at our new house."

Jay watched helplessly as Gina made all the decisions. "Gina, be careful on the way home." "I will." Gina smiled and waved at the two before finally turning around to leave. "Kana, you can take a bath first. I will make a call." Jay had to admit that Kana was very well behaved. Not only did she not make a fuss about anything, but she stayed quiet for most of the day and even put up with the doctors. "Okay, papa." Kana smiled at Jay before going to the bathroom. She now had her own clothes to wear, which included pajamas. She turned the water on and got ready to soak in the bathtub.

On the small balcony, Jay gave Todd a call. "Hey, Todd."

"I heard my sister finally won you over!" Todd was really happy. If anyone was to become his brother in law, he would want it to be Jay.

"Yeah, she did. She kind of forced her way in, but don't worry. I will not make her regret it." Jay wanted to talk to Todd about this very thing. "I know. I wouldn't have allowed her to keep pursuing you if you were not someone that I and my parents trusted. Jay, you are a good guy who had a rough start. Me and my family fully support you. Let my sister lead you around a bit, and just accept what she gives. In the next week, I will have a new job lined up for you at my dad's work. It will be a bit hectic, but it will at least allow you to make more money than you are now. I want you to take good care of my sister."Todd had been wanting to get Jay a better job this entire time, but the man would refuse anytime it was brought up.

"Todd, why are you working where I am when you can work for your father?" Jay suddenly asked. This question made Todd fall silent. "Umm.... I don't want to be hounded by the old man. I know it is stupid since I have a golden ticket, but I wanted to experience what it was like to work outside the family. I planned to quit a while ago, but when I met you and we became friends, I found the job really fun. But I will probably quit soon as well. Of course not until I get a few good workers for the boss man." Todd explained.

"I see...."
